Ben Platt and Zoey Deutch wear seemingly color-coordinated looks while walking the red carpet together at the premiere of their show The Politician on Thursday (September 26) at the DGA Theater in New York City.
The two actors are best friends in real life after working on the Netflix series together. The show launches at midnight, so get ready to start your binge!
The star-studded event was attended by the show’s full cast including Lucy Boynton, Laura Dreyfuss, David Corenswet, Theo Germaine, Rahne Jones, Julia Schlaepfer, Trevor Eason, Trey Eason, Russell Posner, and Ryan Haddad, plus veteran cast members Gwyneth Paltrow, Jessica Lange, Judith Light, Bette Midler, January Jones, and Dylan McDermott.
Ryan Murphy and Gwyneth‘s husband Brad Falchuk, two of the show’s creators and executive producers, were also in attendance. Janet Mock, who directed an episode, was there too. Indya Moore, who stars in Ryan‘s show Pose, stepped out for the event as well!

Ben Platt and Zoey Deutch became real-life best friends while working on their show The Politician and now they’re ready to give the series to the world!
The two young stars were joined by the show’s executive producer Ryan Murphy at the L.A. tastemaker screening of The Politician on Tuesday (July 23) at the San Vicente Bungalows in West Hollywood, Calif.
The cast of the upcoming Netflix series stepped out to screen the first episode for some lucky people. The actors in attendance also included Lucy Boynton, January Jones, Dylan McDermott, David Corenswet, Julia Schlaepfer, and Rahne Jones.
Some of the special guests who stepped out to check out the show included Charlie Carver, Ed Westwick, Nia Vardalos, and Rob Lowe with his son John Owen.
Ryan‘s producing partner Brad Falchuk and Netflix’s Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos were there as well.

Kiernan Shipka had a mini-reunion with one of her Mad Men co-stars!
The 19-year-old actress took to her Instagram revealed that she bumped into January Jones while they were both in Canada!
On the show, January played played Kiernan‘s mom. Kiernan joined the cast of Mad Men when she was just eight, so she basically grew up with January!
“Drapers 4ever 😎,” Kiernan wrote along with the pic.
January also shared the selfie, adding, “It seems everyone’s in Canada these days. 😻 Draper babes 🤙🻔

The event benefited City of Hope, the nonprofit clinical research and treatment center for cancer, diabetes and other life-threatening diseases.

The three ladies were also joined by Alisan Porter as they attended the Brady Center’s Bear Awards Gala at NeueHouse Hollywood on Wednesday (June 7) in Los Angeles – the goal of which was to raise funds to continue to prevent gun violence and reduce the number of gun deaths by half in 2025.

At the event, Brady Center president Dan Gross opened up about Kristen’s involvement
“She came to us because she has something she wants to do with this issue,” Dan told People. “She eagerly shared her idea and without hesitation and is showing up tonight. She is committed to actually doing something, not just lending her name.”
“I was infatuated with a few classic Americana images that were a little skewed and maybe not as beautiful or as comforting as they might seem on the surface,” Kristen explained. “One of them involved the shattering of the idea that it’s cool to play with toy guns and little kids grow up thinking that’s going to protect and empower them. We kind of take that idea and go, ‘Actually this is something else that could happen,’ and that needs to be considered by people who might not think about that kind of thing.”
