Jason Scott Lee Cast as Peyton Elizabeth Lee's Dad In 'Doogie Kameāloha, M.D.'

Jason Scott Lee has been added to the cast of the upcoming Doogie Howser remake, Doogie Kameāloha, M.D.!

The Mulan actor will take on the role of Benny Kameāloha, opposite Peyton Elizabeth Lee‘s Lahela “Doogie” Kameāloha, Deadline reveals.

Benny “worked in finance on the mainland, but gave that up to return home and focus on what matters most: family. He now runs a shave ice flower truck, a career change that enables him to be a more present father to his three children.”

The actor joins Kathleen Rose Perkins to complete the casting for Doogie’s parents. Kathleen‘s casting was announced almost two weeks ago.

Jason is of course far from a stranger to Disney. He most recently starred as Bori Khan in the live action Mulan, as well as playing Mowgli in the 1994 live action The Jungle Book. He’s also the voice of David Kawena in the Lilo & Stitch movies!
