“I like that she has a big heart and she really doesn’t care what people think about her,” Jessica told TVLine about her character, Gretchen, on the USA show.
She added, “It sounds very harsh the way I’m saying it, but she is always trying to help people and she’ll do it no matter who is standing in her way or what someone’s going to say or think or do. She’s a risk taker, she goes after what she wants; I think that’s really beautiful.”

Jessica recently opened up about her new show Complications being much different than her role in Gossip Girl.
“It couldn’t be more different,” Jessica expressed (via NYP). “‘Gossip Girl‘ was this pop culture, fashion show that New York was a part of, and we were all young. Now everyone [on this show is] married with kids and in Atlanta and it’s… a much more mature role, which I love. I don’t feel like it’s a medical show. It’s a crime thriller and we happen to be a nurse and a doctor [who are] put into this crazy gang world. As the series goes on I’m actually outside of the hospital more than I’m in.”
