Jillian Shea Spaeder performs at seemingly a Christmas concert in the just released trailer for Godmothered!
The 18-year-old actress plays Jane in the film, one of the daughters to Isla Fisher‘s Mackenzie Walsh.
Here’s a synopsis: Set at Christmas time, Godmothered is a comedy about Eleanor, a young, inexperienced fairy godmother-in-training who upon hearing that her chosen profession is facing extinction, decides to show the world that people still need fairy godmothers.
Finding a mislaid letter from a 10-year-old girl in distress, Eleanor tracks her down and discovers that the girl, Mackenzie, is now a 40-year-old single mom (Fisher) working at a news station in Boston. Having lost her husband several years earlier, Mackenzie has all but given up on the idea of “Happily Ever After,†but Eleanor is bound and determined to give Mackenzie a happiness makeover, whether she likes it or not.
Jillian Shea Spaeder will also sing the songs “Rise Up (Joy to the World)†and “Hero,†which will play during the end credits, and be available on the soundtrack, out on December 4th.
The film also stars Jillian Bell as the godmother in training, Willa Skye as Isla‘s younger daughter Mia, June Squibb, Santiago Cabrera, Mary Elizabeth Ellis, Jane Curtin, Artemis Pebdani, Utkarsh Ambudkar and Stephnie Weir.
Godmothered premieres on Friday, December 4th on Disney+!
