Noah Centineo knows that his fans did not like his bleached beard back in September and now he’s opening up about why he did it in the first place!
The 23-year-old actor spoke out while making an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Thursday (January 23) in New York City.
“I was sitting at a hair salon, and I saw a [hairstylist] that had blond hair, and I thought, ‘I should do that with my beard,’” he said. “I was like, ‘I shouldn’t do the hair.’ I wanted to buzz the hair, but I couldn’t buzz the hair because, you know, we were working on something. So I went, ‘Well, what can I do? I can definitely bleach the beard.’ Worst comes to worst, I just shave it off and it’s not there anymore. It was a catastrophe, clearly.”
Jimmy read aloud some of the headlines about how fans were horrified by the beard!
“I bleached it and it was all purple and weird at first,” he added. “Sat there for like 15 minutes, and then my face starts to burn, and I’m like, ‘Yo, what’s happening? My face is on fire.’”
Thankfully, the bleached beard didn’t last for too long!
During the segment called “Water War,” Noah Centineo and Jimmy Fallon put a twist on the card game War, where the loser of each hand gets soaked in water by the winner.
During his appearance, David spoke about how he got married (for real) to his friend Jason Nash‘s 70-something-year-old mom just to become his friend’s stepdad.
Jimmy also gave David a chance to sit behind the desk when he learned that his biggest dream is to host late-night TV. He also played Charades with Martin Short!

The 17-year-old actor played a game of One Second Songs during his interview on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Thursday (January 16) in New York City.
Finn and Jimmy had to name the tune after hearing just a one second snippet of a song. For the final round, they only heard a quarter of a second of a song and Finn got it right!
Finn was on the show to talk about the upcoming fourth season of Stranger Things and his new movies The Turning and Ghostbusters: Afterlife.

During the appearance, Liam and Jimmy competed in a game as they guessed random songs that The Roots are playing, one instrument at a time, including Post Malone‘s “Circles” and “Señorita” by Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes. But who guessed right?
