The 39-year-old musician talked about the group as a foursome during his Instagram Live video with fans.
“So I like Fifth Harmony, but then Camila Cabello left the band and now it’s just this,” he said, playing four notes on his piano, as opposed to five notes in a harmony.
“If you really wanted to add me, you’d get this,” he said to a sixth note. “And that’s one too many notes. Point being: Hi, Camila.”

The duo sang a mashup of Shawn‘s hit “Mercy” and John‘s classic, “In Your Atmosphere.”
“The dynamite @shawnmendes joined me in Toronto tonight perform a “Mercy”/”In Your Atmosphere” mashup and it was over the top good. #thesearchforeverything #shawnmendes #bringingbacktheworddynamite,” John later wrote on Instagram.
“Damn. John Mayer is the best. My job is the best. U guys are the best. What an insane night,” Shawntweeted.

John tweeted on Taylor‘s birthday saying that her day of birth “may be the lamest day of the year.” Right after the tweet was sent out, he deleted it, but fans of course screenshot the message so there is evidence floating all over social media.
“Tuesday, December 13 may be the lamest day of the year, conceptually,” John wrote in the tweet.
While Taylor might not be receiving love from her ex on her birthday, she is getting a ton of love from all of her friends!
If you didn’t know, Taylor and Katydo not get along due to their long history. To make things more complicated, both Taylor and Katy dated John in the past.
People reports that it is unclear if Katy, Taylor, or John crossed paths at the party. If you didn’t know, Taylor reportedly wrote “Dear John” about her relationship with John.
The outlet says its source mentioned that the two music stars are “known to make-up time and time again, so it’s very possible these two will reunite in the near future.”
Katy and John have been dating on and off for several years now and it was confirmed back in May that they were together again. The couple was seen enjoying a Grateful Dead concert just a few weeks ago in Chicago over the Fourth of July weekend.
