Here’s a synopsis: Lost Ollie is the story of a lost toy on an epic adventure, searching across the country for the boy who lost him, and the story of the boy who lost more than a best friend. A heartwarming journey to reunite in the face of all the dangers that childhood can throw at them. The limited series is inspired by the book “Ollie’s Odyssey” by renowned author and illustrator William Joyce.
Jonathan will play Ollie, a handmade toy rabbit stitched together from odds and ends. Ollie has a pure spirit with a heart of gold and never ruins a chance to make friends. He’s been best friends with Billy since forever, until one day he ends up in a resale shop with no way home. Though he’s often afraid of the unknown, Ollie puts on a brave face and sets off to find Billy, meeting other toys to help him along the way.
Gina will voice Momma. Billy’s mother Sharon is a loving woman who inspires creativity and imagination in her son. She makes sure to cherish their time together, teaching Billy all the things he’ll need to know to find happiness in the future.
The Frozen co-stars have starred together in the animated musicals as Anna and Kristoff, and will couple up in a new live action musical film, Molly and the Moon.
Kristen will star as Kate, Molly’s mom, while Jonathan will play Molly’s dad Brian, a “couple who are expecting a child and sing to their unborn baby in the womb. But the film also takes us inside the womb and imagines a little girl in a rowboat singing back and using the sound of her parents’ voices to try and reach ‘the moon,’ or a metaphor for being born,” according to The Wrap.
Molly and the Moon was inspired by a true story from How I Met Your Mother creators Carter Bays and Craig Thomas, who will also direct.
The story is based on Craig‘s real life son, Elliot, who was born with Jacobsen Syndrome, a rare genetic condition where something is missing in Chromosome 11 chromosomes. He had to have open heart surgery at just two weeks old, and due to his condition, Craig and his wife couldn’t hold their son, so they sang to him.
Among the songs are Elsa’s big number “Into the Unknown,” Anna’s song “The Next Right Thing,” and a group number called “Some Things Never Change.” There are also cover versions of songs by music stars like Panic! at the Disco, Kacey Musgraves, and Weezer.
