The 22-year-old revealed on social media that he’ll be heading back to the Disney Channel series for an upcoming episode, but this time as a director.

“and we’re back…” he captioned a photo of the script for season five, episode 19.

This isn’t the first time he has directed an episode. He previously took the reigns in season three!

It will also be Karan‘s first time back with the show since he left, also in season three, in 2018. He of course played Ravi Ross on the series, as well as on it’s predecessor show Jessie.

Bunk’d stars are no strangers to directing, as Miranda May has directed a few, as well as Peyton List.

Karan Brar Dishes On His 'Hubie Halloween' Character: 'It Was The Most Fun'

Karan Brar opens up about how he tackled his character in Hubie Halloween!

The 21-year-old actor plays Mike in the film, which is currently the #1 title on Netflix in the US.

“I just packed that character full of trauma. I was like, ‘Let’s just get the most absurd trauma we can in there,’” he told Screen Rant.

“No, I just have never really played a villain before. Villain for lack of a better term, so playing Mike was just the most fun,” Karan continued. “Because Adam [Sandler] is the nicest dude. I was like, ‘Okay, this is a really fun space where I can mess around a little bit.’ I actually just kind of commit to this role a little bit.”

Karan also dished on what he wanted to bring to the character that wasn’t necessarily in the script.

“I think I just wanted to play this as – I don’t want to say as serious as I could, but I think it’s really funny having a character like Mike with someone like me playing him,” he said. “Because normally I play nerds, and I think it’s fun to have that goofy little mix of this really mean character and someone who’s naturally just goofy and nerdy like myself. I thought that made for a really interesting dynamic.”

In case you missed it, Karan‘s best friend Cameron Boyce was originally cast in the role before he passed away. Find out why Karan was chosen to take over the character.

Cameron Boyce's Parents Asked That Karan Brar Be Cast In His 'Hubie Halloween' Role

If you didn’t know, Cameron Boyce was originally supposed to star in the new Netflix comedy Hubie Halloween!

Unfortunately, the late actor passed away just days before filming was set to begin on the movie.

Cameron‘s parents are now speaking out about the role and how they specifically asked Adam Sandler to cast his best friend Karan Brar in the role.

Cameron was cast in that movie and unfortunately he passed away […] he passed away like a week before he was supposed to travel to, to shoot that movie. And then Karan actually took his place in the movie,” his mom Libby told PeopleTV. “Karan is his best friend. And, you know, we did ask Adam to cast Karan because that was the only person that could be in that role that wouldn’t break us.”

Cameron‘s dad Victor also dished on his relationship with Adam.

Adam really got Cameron, you know […] his family, his wife, and his two daughters,” he said. “They all love Cameron like, like their own. And so, you know, Adam told me that he would like to dedicate the movie to Cameron. I’m like, of course, of course.”

“It’s not a surprise to me that [Cameron] and Adam clicked because Adam is just like Cameron […] they’re so real and raw and genuine that they just, they had that bond,” Victor added.
