In case you forgot, when KJ joined TikTok in July 2020, one of his first uploads was an interesting dance while shirtless.
During this exclusive first look at her new “Stir Crazy with Josh Horowitz” interview, the 26-year-old dished on her co-star.
“I love KJ. When he put it out, I did text him and ask was that meant to be posted. So you know, it is what it is,” Madelaine said. “You know what though, I have to say, I love his Instagram stories too. He does this really funny skit stuff. It just comes right out of his head. A lot of people think he’s insane, but honestly, I think he’s a genius.”
Madelaine also dished on Camila Mendes‘ latte art, whether she can really tell the Sprouse twins apart, and revealed what social media she hasn’t had on her phone for years.

KJ Apa is spilling some tea on the upcoming fifth season of Riverdale!
The 23-year-old actor, who plays Archie Andrews, revealed some details about his character’s future and the rest of the cast after the seven year time jump.
“I feel like this is the kind of thing the show needed to kind of freshen up all the characters,†he told TV Line. “The new world of Riverdale, now that we are playing older characters, has changed a little bit.â€
“We learn that everyone kind of went their separate ways. Archie enlisted in the Army after graduation, and when he returns, after all that time in the Army, he discovers the town is on the verge of becoming a ghost town, thanks to Hiram,” KJ added.
He also dished on Archie bringing everyone else back into town.
“They talk about how they can revive the town again. Archie very much takes the lead on this. He came back and saw Riverdale turning to s–t pretty much, and he’s like, ‘There’s no way I’m going to let this happen.’ So he wrangles the whole team in, and they figure out ways to revive the town, and the best way to do that is through Riverdale High,†he said.
You’ll also see in the episode and the stills that Vanessa Morgan doesn’t appear to be pregnant as most of the premiere episode was already filmed before the show’s production was shut down due to the pandemic.
Season five will “begin with our characters’ final days as students at Riverdale High. From an epic Senior Prom to a bittersweet Graduation, there are a lot of emotional moments and goodbyes yet to come—with some couples breaking up, as everyone goes their separate ways to college—or elsewhere.
Then, we will redock with our gang as young adults, all returning to Riverdale to escape their troubled pasts. And life—and romance—will only be more complicated now that they’re in their twenties…”
Earlier in the week, we got some new photos from the prom in the season premiere, and earlier in the month, the trailer for the first part of the season was released.
Riverdale season five premieres on January 20th at 8pm ET/PT on The CW!
KJ Apa is opening up about new pandemic protocols on the set of Riverdale!
The 23-year-old actor was onLive with Kelly and Ryan, and was asked about how they are handling kissing scenes these days.
If you didn’t know, some productions have actors kiss with a plexiglass in between them, and edit it out later.
“[We rinse our mouths with] Listerine. They have us come to set a little early, and we have to rinse our mouths for one minute. There’s a guy standing there with a timer, counting down sixty seconds,” KJ said. “And we have to rinse our mouths out before the scene, before every take, for sixty seconds. Apparently it kills all the germs in your mouth, but in my mind, by the time you’ve got your tongue in someone’s mouth, I don’t think it really matters, to be honest.”
KJ also opened up about an on set injury he had during an action sequence, while being directed by Michael Bay on the set of Songbird. Check it out in the video!
