Lele Pons and her father Luis are opening up about their relationship.
In the second episode of her show The Secret Life of Lele Pons, the 23-year-old YouTuber shared how finding out about her dad’s sexuality affected her OCD.
“I found out my dad was gay when I was little. It was hard for me at first… It was hard because I was repeating him saying he was gay until it sounded right in my head,” Lele said. “I was kind of proud that my dad was gay, you know? And I liked that he wasn’t… it was just like, it was different. And he’s my best friend.”
“So what happened was that I openly said he was gay, in my Catholic school,” Lele went on. “Impulsivity is a huge part of OCD. When I found out that my dad was gay, I said it during a presentation in my class, and everybody was like, ‘This has nothing to do with what’s going on.’”
“I think we have the best relationship anybody can possibly have. We’re very close,” her dad said. “We love each other.”
Lele also revealed that how she really found out he was gay is she accidentally walked in on him with another man when she was younger.

In the show, the 23-year-old singer and internet personality gives a candid look at how she’s living wth OCD, Tourette Syndrome, ADHD and Depression.
“Am I scared to tell people? Yes. Am I scared of what they might say? Yes. But am I embarrassed? No,” she says in the video.
While speaking about being bullied online, Lele shared that sometimes it’s just too much.
“It’s just like, when did all become that? When did it all become so, like, evil, you know?” Lele says while wiping away tears. “And then, like, what’s happening here is that people are making hating me cool. Sometimes I log on and I just want to end it.”
Lele Pons is getting super candid in a new docu-series for YouTube Originals.
The 23-year-old entertainer shared the trailer for The Secret Life of Lele Pons, where she opens up about her multiple diagnoses.
“Finally I’m able to share with the world what I’ve struggled with my entire life. I have Tourette syndrome and OCD as well as other mental disorders. Can’t wait to show you this side of my life nobody’s seen before! Meet the real Lele, May 19th on #SecretLifeOfLele on @YouTube,” she wrote on Instagram.
The Secret Life of Lele Pons will air on YouTube weekly, starting on May 19th.
