'Sing 2' Gets Reveals New Cast Additions & New Movie Poster

The upcoming Sing 2 just made a few exciting announcements!

The animated film sequel debuted the official poster, release date and which famous musicians have joined the cast.

Here’s a synopsis: Buster and his cast have turned the New Moon Theater into a local hit, but Buster has his eyes on a bigger prize: Debuting a new show at the Crystal Tower Theater in glamorous Redshore City.

But with no connections, Buster and his cast—including harried mother pig Rosita, rocker porcupine Ash, earnest gorilla Johnny, shy elephant Meena and, of course, porcine provocateur extraordinaire Gunter — have to sneak their way into the world-famous Crystal Entertainment offices, run by a ruthless mogul wolf named Jimmy Crystal.

In a desperate attempt to get Mr. Crystal’s attention, Gunter spontaneously pitches an outrageous idea that Buster quickly runs with, promising that their new show will star lion rock legend Clay Calloway. Problem is, Buster has never met Clay, an artist who shut himself away from the world more than a decade ago after the loss of his wife and hasn’t been seen since.

As Gunter helps Buster dream up an out-of-this-world theatrical masterpiece, and the pressure (and sinister threats) from Mr. Crystal mount, Buster embarks on a quest to find Clay and persuade him to return to the stage. What begins as Buster’s dream of big-time success becomes an emotional reminder of the power of music to heal even the most broken heart.

Matthew McConaughey, Reese Witherspoon, Scarlett Johansson, Taron Egerton, Tori Kelly and Nick Kroll all return to voice their respective characters, with music stars Bono, Halsey and Pharrell, as well as Bobby Cannavale, Letitia Wright, Eric Andre and Chelsea Peretti joining the cast!

Sing 2 will be out in theaters on December 22, 2021.

Tom Holland Thinks Peter Parker Would Hit It Off With This 'Black Panther' Character

Tom Holland will be back in Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War as Peter Parker, aka, Spider-Man, and there’s one character that he hopes Peter will get some screentime with — Black Panther‘s Shuri!

Speaking with EW about Black Panther joining the MCU, the 21-year-old actor revealed that he not only believes his character would enjoy the visit to Wakanda, but also that he hopes to meet Shuri (Letitia Wright) sooner rather than later.

“I think Peter would love it. There’s some great moments in the comics where Peter ends up there,” Tom says.

He adds that he and “Letitia and I have become really good friends over the last year and a bit. It would be brilliant to have our characters meet up, it would be so funny. She’s brilliant in the movie, she’s actually my favorite part of Black Panther.”

Now, all we can think (and hope) for is a Spider-Man and Shuri team up sooner rather than later too.

Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War, which just dropped a handful of new posters, will be out in theaters on April 27th.

Storm Reid, Laura Harrier, Ellie Bamber & More Discuss Gender Equality & Representation in Hollywood

Storm Reid, Laura Harrier and Ellie Bamber look stunning on the first-ever digital cover for Teen Vogue‘s 2018 Young Hollywood issue, which is out now.

The cover shoot also includes Bria Vinaite, Sasha Lane, Margaret Qualley, Letitia Wright and Awkwafina.

Here’s what the young stars had to say…

Storm, on the impact of her role in A Wrinkle in Time: “Representation is everything. If I was younger, if I saw Meg as myself, Meg would empower me and inspire me and make me feel like I could save the world. So to have those characters and to be able to be that for young African-American girls or just young people in general is really empowering.”

Ellie, on gender equality within Hollywood: “The idea of bringing equality not just to entertainment but to every walk of life, I think it’s very important. There should be no segregation. Everyone should be united and everyone should be seen as equals.”

Laura, on what she learned while preparing for her role in Spike Lee’s Black Klansman: “I studied Angela Davis. I got to meet Kathleen Cleaver, and talked to all these incredible women of the Black Panther and Black Power movements. It just struck me how relevant these things are now, unfortunately…. It was a lot more peaceful than we were made to think. Women were a big part of it. It wasn’t just this male-driven thing.”
