Moana has made a splash at the box office this weekend, beating out Frozen‘s Thanksgiving Eve ticket sales.
The 22-year-old Grease: Live star and talented singer is teaming up with Tony and Grammy-award winner Lin-Manuel Miranda for the Moana movie soundtrack!
Written by Lin-Manuel, the end-credit version of “You’re Welcome” will be sung by Jordan too!

And in case you missed the news, Jordanrecently joined the cast of Broadway’s Hamilton as John Laurens and Philip Hamilton.
Emily Blunt will be playing the title role in the upcoming movie Mary Poppins Returns and the official synopsis has just been revealed!
The movie is also set to star Hamilton creator and actor Lin-Manuel Miranda as a new character, a street lamplighter named Jack.
The story will take place in Depression-era London (when the books were originally written) and follows a now-grown Jane and Michael Banks, who, along with Michael’s three children, are visited by the enigmatic Mary Poppins following a personal loss. Through her unique magical skills, and with the aid of her friend Jack, she helps the family rediscover the joy and wonder missing in their lives.
“I am truly humbled and honored to be asked by Disney to bring P.L. Travers‘ further adventures to the screen. The iconic original film means so much to me personally, and I look forward to creating an original movie musical that can bring Mary Poppins, and her message that childlike wonder can be found in even the most challenging of times, to a whole new generation,” director Rob Marshall said in a statement.
The screenplay will be written by David Magee (Finding Neverland, Life of Pi) and new original songs will be written by Hairspray composers Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman.
Mary Poppins Returns is set to be released on December 25, 2018!

“It’s a monumental year,” James said of the most recent Broadway season.
“Hamilton” creator and star, Lin-Manuel Miranda added, “Alexander Hamilton’s story grabbed ahold of me and never let go. I knew this guy.”
