Lorde made a very interesting analogy when asked about maintaining friendships with her highly famous friends like Taylor Swift.
The 20-year-old entertainer was speaking with The Guardian about being friends with Taylor, 27.
“It’s like having a friend with very specific allergies,” Lorde said. “There are certain places you can’t go together. Certain things you can’t do. There are these different sets of considerations within the friendship. It’s like having a friend with an autoimmune disease.”
Taylor has been keeping a super low profile lately, and was last photographed with her new beau Joe Alwyn earlier this month.
The 20-year-old entertainer took home the won the International Artist of the Year award at the big show, held on Sunday (June 18) at MuchMusic HQ in Toronto, Canada. In addition, Lorde took the stage for a performance of “Green Light” and “Perfect Places.”
“Thank you, I want to say thank you so much, Canada was one of the first places to go hey we like this little weirdo so thank you,” Lorde said during her acceptance speech

The 20-year-old singer opened up about her love for the fried food during her appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Thursday (June 15) in New York City.
Lorde opened up about the secret to creating the best onion ring. “From my sort of semi-professional adventures, I think that a batter works better than a crumb. It’s a bit lighter. The other thing you can do to make an onion ring magical is lightly pickle the onion before you batter it up. It takes on this acidity and it’s incredible,” she said.

Lorde released the dates at the stroke of midnight on Friday (June 16), the same time that the new album was released!

Lorde just dropped her long-awaited new album Melodrama!
The singer’s sophomore album delves into her personal experience with heartbreak, as it was largely inspired by her breakup with former boyfriend of three years James Lowe (the two reportedly called it quits in 2015).
It was also inspired by the pressures of fame and her time spent in New York City.
Melodrama features 11 tracks, four of which have already been released as singles – “Green Light,” “Liability,” “Perfect Places,” and “Sober.” She has also performed “Homemade Dynamite” live (at Coachella).
Lorde‘s debut album Pure Heroine was released back in 2013, and she reportedly started writing for Melodrama just a few months after that. Her good friend Jack Antonoff helped her write and produce.
