“It’s just another one of the examples where the fan base shows just how strong they are and how loyal and passionate. It’s been an emotional 12 hours. It’s been a long time coming,” Louis said during an appearance on the Today show.
"It's been an emotional 12 hours for me," @Louis_Tomlinson said of the release of his debut solo album "Walls" and how much the support of his fans has meant to him. pic.twitter.com/NPW76FfVc0
“It isn’t true,” Louis Tomlinson said when asked about engagement rumors, “but the luxury with Eleanor is I’ve known her since before our first single ‘What Makes You Beautiful,’ so she’s felt the whole growth of everything. As I’ve got to understand it, she has too, and I have the benefit with her that we’ve seen it for what it is.”
He added that he plans to “one day” propose to Eleanor Calder: “If you’re asking me if I’m going to marry her? Yes, I think so! And more kids, I’d say so.”
“We’ve been on a break four years. I’m only just getting round to releasing my first album…Fans who follow our every move everyday probably feel we’ve not been a group for a while, but to us we’re…I know I am just finding my feet really,” Louis said on The One Show.
He added, “I think it’ll happen at some point, we’d be stupid not to. I think we’re kind of exploring and enjoying ourselves individually.â€
The One Direction singer-turned-solo-star’s son rang in his fourth birthday with a cute little celebration, as pictured on his mother Briana Jungwirth‘s Instagram post on Tuesday (January 21).
“It’s about coming home having been on tour, soon after the band had split. I found some of my girlfriend’s clothes in the cupboard and it hit me what I’d done. I love the indie sound of the song and its circular nature –it opens and closes with the same lyric,” Louis says of the track.
“I pretend not to be romantic, but I am. It really hit home when I was in the studio to hear the strings being recorded. There must have been 25 musicians in there, all for my song. It was a proper tear-jerking moment already and I’ve never felt a shiver like it.â€
Louis Tomlinson‘s new song “Walls” is about overcoming obstacles.
The former One Direction member released the final single and title track from his debut album on Friday (January 17).
On it, he talks about the hardships of life and relationships, and how they can eventually make you stronger.
“But these high walls, they came up short / Now I stand taller than them all,” he sings. “These high walls never broke my soul / And I, I watch them all come fallin’ down / I watch them all come fallin’ down for you, for you.”
