Miley Cyrus is giving us a new version of “Santa Baby” that is perfect for feminist women in 2018!
The 26-year-old singer was joined by Jimmy Fallon and Mark Ronson for the new cover during the latest episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
Miley opened the skit by saying she had issues with the lyrics and Jimmy told her to change whatever she wanted.
“Santa baby, I don’t need any fancy jewelry. Not me. I’ve got something else in mind,” Miley sings in the updated version. “Don’t want diamonds, cash or stocks. Nothing that comes in a box. No more fluff, I’ve had enough. And I can buy my own damn stuff.”
Miley also sings that a girl’s best friend is “equal pay.”
Miley Cyrus has new music yet again and we’re loving this cover of a holiday classic!
The 26-year-old singer teamed up with producer Mark Ronson and Sean Ono Lennon for a cover of John Lennon‘s “(Happy Xmas) War Is Over.”
Miley and Mark just dropped the song “Nothing Break Likes a Heart” and this will likely be the second song they do on Saturday Night Live this weekend.
John Lennon and his wife Yoko Ono released the song in 1971 as a Vietnam War protest song and it has since been covered countless times.

The 26-year-old singer was spotted making stops at KTU and Z100 with collaborator Mark Ronson on Monday morning (December 10) in New York City.
Miley was asked about when she plans to go on tour again.
“I think it would probably be later in [2019] or early 2020 just because I really like to take my time when releasing new music. I’ll definitely put out a record next year, but when and how is still up in the air for me because I never like to feel that pressure or think too far ahead. I think timing is everything as it’s kinda shown with this song,” Miley told KTU.
