People on Twitter have been trying to figure out Maya Henry‘s age after a tweet went viral and now her boyfriend Liam Payne is responding to the speculation.
There are reports that Maya could be either 18 or 19 as information online hasn’t been that clear.
Part of the confusion is that Maya‘s father famously threw her a lavish Quinceañera party (that cost $6 million) to celebrate her 15th birthday back in 2016, which would mean that she’s only 18 right now.
Liam is clearing up the rumors though. He responded to someone on Twitter who wrote, “Every article about Liam’s girlfriend says she’s 19 when she’s actually 18. This is intentional because when fabricating this ridiculous PR campaign for her they said that they’ve been together for a year, which would mean that Liam was dating a 17 y/o.”
He wrote, “19 don’t believe everything you read on the internet 🙄.”

The couple was spotted while spending a late night at Libertine Nightclub on Sunday (November 3) in London, England. They were seen holding hands while going home at around 2:30am in the early hours of Monday.
In a recent interview, Liam referred to Maya as his best friend.
“Now that I’ve found someone who’s genuinely my best friend as well as my partner, it’s massively changed things for me,†Liam shared with MTV News. “She’s just so relaxed about everything. Someone who’s completely got your back with everything is just the wildest thing.”
“I don’t think I’ve really experienced that before in someone, so it’s quite a wonder to watch.â€
During a recent podcast interview with Jessie Wares, Liam opened up about how Maya has turned his life around for the better.
“I remember getting to therapy and the guy was like, ‘What do you like to do?’ I haven’t got a clue. I just lived so long as this reclusive pop star who was afraid of people, who just stayed inside all the time. I needed to stop, definitely. It would have killed me,” Liam shared.
With Maya, he’s now a “happy guy”.
“Sometimes I don’t recognize this happy guy…sure glad you brought him back though.”
