I did competition swim, dance and cheerleading for a few years and I think the team approach to all of those sports help me daily. It also gave me a good work ethic!
I love hiking and being outdoors and being able to completely immerse myself in nature.
I am certified in rappelling and rock climbing. Which is a funny story: My brothers were in boy scouts and they were working on merit badges in those skills over several weeks. I was a girl and wanted to so as well. However, since I wasn’t a boy scout it wasn’t an option. My mom happened to be the leader so she paid and let me do all the skills for my “merit badge” and gave me a beautiful one she had created for me instead. I still got the certification from the establishment. I believe in gender equality and this experience helped foster that.
