Kristine Froseth & Jayme Lawson Cast as Young First Ladies In Upcoming ‘The First Lady’ Series

Kristine Froseth has an exciting new role!

The 25-year-old Looking For Alaska actress has been cast as a young Betty Ford in the new series The First Lady, Variety reports.

Michelle Pfeiffer will also be playing Betty Ford in the Showtime series, which is described as a revelatory reframing of American leadership, told through the lens of the women at the heart of the White House.

Kristine's version of Betty sees her "as she trains as a dancer for Martha Graham in New York City, and into her 20s in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where she worked for Herpolsheimer’s Department Store and eventually married Gerald Ford." She will appear in three episodes.

Here's a synopsis: In the East Wing of the White House, many of history’s most impactful and world-changing decisions have been hidden from view, made by America's charismatic, complex and dynamic First Ladies. This series will peel back the curtain on the personal and political lives of three unique, enigmatic women, tracing their journeys to Washington through an enlightening intimacy, with season one focusing on Michelle Obama, Betty Ford and Eleanor Roosevelt.

It was also announced that Jayme Lawson, who will also appear in the upcoming The Batman, has been cast as a young Michelle Obama from the ages 15-30. "The series begins with Obama as a young woman in Chicago and follows her as a Harvard undergraduate and Princeton Law School student, eventually marrying Barack Obama in 1992."

Viola Davis has also been cast as a present day Michelle. Viola and her husband Julius Tennon will also executive produce through their JuVee Productions.

Millie Bobby Brown wears an olive green look to the 2019 WWD Beauty Inc Awards held at Rainbow Room on Wednesday morning (December 10) in New York City.

The 15-year-old actress took home the award for Specialty Launch of the Year for her new beauty line Florence by Mills.

Also in attendance were Michelle Pfeiffer, who accepted the Founder's Award for Henry Rose, and Paris Hilton, who won the Product of the Year: Mass Fragrance award for her Paris Hilton Electrify fragrance.

"v special moment for me today. 'best launch of 2019' goes to my baby @florencebymills. thank you 🦋☁️🏹," Millie wrote on Instagram.

FYI: Millie is wearing a Helmut Lang blazer and slip dress with Aldo shoes. Michelle is wearing Brunello Cucinelli.


Elle Fanning & Harris Dickinson Join ‘Maleficent’ Stars at Beverly Hills Press Conference

Elle Fanning and Harris Dickinson strike a pose with co-star Angelina Jolie at a press conference for their movie Maleficent: Mistress of Evil on Monday (September 30) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

If you didn't know, Harris took over the role of Prince Phillip from Brenton Thwaites, who played the part in the first movie.

Also in attendance at the press conference were Michelle Pfeiffer, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Ed Skrein, Sam Riley, and director Joachim Ronning.

Elle Fanning Is Princess Aurora Again for New ‘Maleficent 2′ Poster!

We're just about five months away from the release of Maleficent: Mistress of Evil and a new poster was released featuring Elle Fanning as Princess Aurora!

Also pictured in the poster are Angelina Jolie as the title character and Michelle Pfeiffer as Queen Ingrith.

Maleficent: Mistress of Evil is a fantasy adventure that picks up several years after Maleficent, in which audiences learned of the events that hardened the heart of Disney’s most notorious villain and drove her to curse a baby Princess Aurora.

The film continues to explore the complex relationship between the horned fairy and the soon to be Queen as they form new alliances and face new adversaries in their struggle to protect the moors and the magical creatures that reside within.
