'High School Musical' Stars Monique Coleman and Lucas Grabeel Would Be Up For THAT Movie Reunion

'High School Musical' Stars Monique Coleman and Lucas Grabeel Would Be Up For THAT Movie Reunion

Last month, the internet lost it when a fan-made High School Musical trailer made its way online again.

The visual saw the core six Wildcats reunite in many different ways and had us all screaming at our screens and shooting off emails to Disney to make THIS movie asap — and it looks like at least three of the stars of the first three movies would be up for it.

KayCee Stroh was one of the first to share the trailer on Twitter, so she’s in.

And so is Lucas Grabeel: “Yeah, I saw it. Kenny Ortega tweeted it and I watched it. It’s great,” he told J-14.

Lucas added, “Yeah, of course. If Disney calls, my door is always open. We work well together.”

Monique Coleman, aka Taylor McKessie, would be in too.

“Honestly, I would do that movie!” she shared with AfterBuzz in a recent interview.

We all know that director Kenny Ortega is in, too. He did say he’d return to direct if Disney offered.

So, for that movie, would Ashley Tisdale, Vanessa Hudgens, Corbin Bleu, and Zac Efron be in too?

The first connection you’ll make when you see Guidance is that Dianne Doan and Monique Coleman both worked alongside director Kenny Ortega.

It’s something that both actresses bonded over on the set of their new go90 show, which is streaming now.

“I never dreamed that I’d get the chance to work with Monique,” Dianne tells us exclusively.

She adds, “It’s funny because I remember meeting her for the first time at the Disney’s Descendants premiere a couple years ago, and on set we spoke about how we both share such a special connection, both having experienced and worked with Kenny Ortega and on a Disney musical franchise.”

“I’m constantly reminded of how small the industry is and you never really know who you’ll be meeting and working alongside next,” Dianne shared.

And it looks like she wasn’t alone in being mesmerized by MoniqueAmyMarie Gaertner and Crawford Collins were too.

“It was really cool working with Monique because I watched her on TV growing up,” Crawford told us.

AmyMarie added, “I remember watching High School Musical when it first premiered so now being able to work alongside Monique was a cool experience!”

New episodes of Guidance will be released daily Monday through Friday, with the first three already out now on go90 XO.

Katherine McNamara, Monique Coleman and Brooklyn & Bailey All Celebrate Dream Big Princess Campaign

Katherine McNamara, Monique Coleman and Brooklyn & Bailey All Celebrate Dream Big Princess Campaign

Katherine McNamara, Monique Coleman and Brooklyn & Bailey hold up signs around them, celebrating the new Dream Big Princess campaign.

If you’ve watched Disney Channel, you’ve probably seen bits and pieces of the campaign, which celebrates inspiring stories from around the world to encourage kids everywhere to dream big.

To celebrate the campaign even more, Disney worked with 19 female photographers from around the world to create a series of empowering images showcasing real-world girls and women, as part of the initiative and taps into the power of Disney Princess stories to inspire kids.

The photographs shared online will go on to help raise funds for Girl Up.

From now until October 11th, Disney Worldwide Services will donate US $1 for any public post of a photo using #DreamBigPrincess or like of such a post on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter, for a minimum donation of US $500,000 and a maximum of US $1 million.

That’s so great!

JJJ spoke to two of the photographers — Cristina Mittermeier and Kate Parker — about their own photographs in the collection.

Cristina relates to Moana, who she describes as “[having] an unwavering determination to protect and celebrate her culture. She follows an innate calling to decide for herself who she wants to be.”

Kate adds, “Dreaming big means dreaming without limits of any kind. Dreaming of a goal and creating the opportunity to invest 100 percent of yourself into that goal to achieve it.”

Her role model? Belle, of course.

“Belle is ambitious. She realizes that knowledge is her way to the larger life she is dreaming of and doesn’t allow anyone’s opinions affect her. She didn’t change to please anyone and I love that.”
