The two longtime friends have even played into the rumors from time to time, and the vlogger is laying it all out on the line.
“No, she wishes,” David joked with ET, referring to a line in his last vlog. “No, we’re not hooking up.”
Natalie even replied with an “absolutely not.”
“I think it should be obvious at this point that there’s never going to be a time where Natalie and I ever hook up. Even if this pandemic lasted 25 years and we were stuck inside, it’s never going to happen,” he added.
“I don’t know, I don’t really care. I don’t know… should I have a reaction where I’m upset?” David said about the constant dating rumors. “The internet is such an obvious place where you make one video with one… it’s always been like this since the beginning of time. You interact with one female or somebody that people will think you’ll cute with and everybody either assumes that you’re dating or they want you date. It’s just how it all works.”
David Dobrik hasn’t been uploading any vlogs while in quarantine, but returned for a special one on Friday (April 24).
The 23-year-old YouTuber shared a new video where he gave back to fans who were in need amid the pandemic.
David, his assistant/BFF Natalie Mariduena and Vlog Squad member Jason Nash drove around Los Angeles in a van handing out video game consoles and merch with $10k checks inside of them, which brought some families to tears. They even gave a few fans new cars!
At the beginning of the video, David joked that he and Natalie had started to hook up during quarantine.
“It’s been awhile, I haven’t posted in a while. I’m still not going to until this is all over. In the meantime, I have been hooking up with Natalie,” David says in the intro.
“It’s not a joke, we seriously have run out of options… All jokes aside…” he added before continuing with the vlog.
“9 years later and just as awkward hahaha @nataliemariduena,” David wrote on his TikTok account, adding on Twitter that it was “still the biggest regret of my life.”
The YouTuber and his BFF/assistant showed off their new furry friend on Instagram on Friday (April 3).
“Natalie decided to foster a puppy so i had the pleasure of naming her,” David captioned the slideshow below. “Everyone say hello to Iron Man.”
“The best part about calling her Iron Man is that when she misbehaves, I can call her by her real name, and that’s Tony Bark,” he added in his Stories.
