Paul Wesley is talking about his new show Tell Me A Story!
The 35-year-old star opened up about the new series during a panel at 2018 San Diego Comic-Con on Thursday (July 19) in San Diego, Calif.

The show is a dark and twisted reimagining of the most beloved fairy tales, including the Three Little Pigs, Little Red Riding Hood and Hansel and Gretel. He reunited with former Vampire Dairies boss Kevin Williamson for the show.
“I’m a man in my mid 30s. I was playing a 17-year-old and now I get to play a man in my 30s,” Paul explained with a laugh while talking the crowd.
“Sometimes words slip out that don’t have to be censored. This is very different from what you’ve seen from me on The Vampire Diaries. I’m a big fan of Kevin‘s. And I’m really interested in being on a streaming service. There are no inhibitions. It’s a great change.”

Paul was joined by James Wolk and other actors to film a masked robbery scene for the show.
The upcoming series sees the world’s most beloved fairy tales are re-imagined as a dark and twisted psychological thriller set in modern day New York City, including The Three Little Pigs, Little Red Riding Hood and Jack and the Beanstalk.

The former Vampire Diaries actor tweeted where he’ll be on Thursday, July 19th at the convention, and his former EP followed up.
“Oh sh-t, really?!!! Do you stay through Saturday or are you in and out? I don’t get there until Friday,” Julie wrote.
The Originals and Roswell writer Carina Adly MacKenzie also got in on the conversation, writing, “He’s only there Wednesday and Thursday night, everything’s bad.”
Then Paul suggested that the girls should arrive early so they could all meet up, and Julie shot it down..

The two embraced romantically and shared some PDS after their dinner ate at Sant Ambroeus in the SoHo neighborhood. Paul split from his ex-wife Torrey Devitto back in 2013.

The thriller drama series takes the world’s most beloved fairytales and reimagines them as a dark and twisted psychological thriller.
“The Three Little Pigs”, “Little Red Riding Hood”, and “Hansel and Gretel” will be the focus of season one, set in New York City, and will weave them into “an epic and subversive tale of love, loss, greed, revenge and murder.
Deadline reports that he’ll play Eddie, a derelict and troubled individual whose petulance is fueled even more by his problems with drugs and alcohol.
Although he works as a bartender, he also splits his time as a low-level drug dealer and part-time thief with his older brother Mitch, who never fails to treat Eddie as the lowly delinquent that he is.

Paul and Nina Dombrev recently met up for a fun little Vampire Diaries reunion in May. The two starred on the CW series together for six seasons before Nina left the show in 2015.
“Excuse me sir, you look familiar. I feel like we’ve met before. Maybe in a past life?†she wrote on her Instagram.

The co-stars recently snapped a sweet pic together, which Nina shared on her Instagram on Thursday (May 17).
“Excuse me sir, you look familiar. I feel like we’ve met before. Maybe in a past life?” she captioned it.
She posted the same photo in color on Twitter, writing, “Ran into this guy who looks exactly like my old costar @paulwesley ! Wait…”
The duo also got together back in December during the New York City snow showers. Paul and their other co-star Ian Somerhalder had a reunion in February as well.
Nina and Paul starred on the CW series together for six seasons before Nina left the show in 2015.
