The teen singer dropped the visual on Sunday (August 23), a month after the song debuted.
“‘Habits’ is my next single because I want to keep releasing music that means something real to me and tells stories relevant to my life. This is just a different chapter for that,†Payton previously told JJJ about the new song.
Payton has even garnered the support of MAX for the new video.
“Hell yes” and “LETS GOOOO” are two of the comments MAX has left on Payton‘s latest Instagram posts about his “Habits” music video.

The teenage singer/songwriter has just dropped his second official song “Habits” on Friday (July 17).
“very excited to finally get this track out to you guys. 7/17. Stay hyped x),” he teased on Instagram earlier in the week.
The new track features hummable riff cuts through handclaps, keys, and a skittering bounce, in the follow up to his first single “Love Letter“.
“‘Habits’ is my next single because I want to keep releasing music that means something real to me and tells stories relevant to my life. This is just a different chapter for that,†Payton told JJJ about his new song.
In case you missed it, back in May, JJJ premiered the music video for his first song “Love Letter”, where he was inspired to express the feelings that an ex left him after their relationship abruptly ended with no closure.
The teen singer-songwriter superstar and viral content creator on the rise dropped his debut single “Love Letter” back in April – and Just Jared Jr. is exclusively bringing our readers the premiere of the song’s accompanying music video.
The song, inspired by the abrupt ending of a relationship, tells Payton‘s story as he processes the feelings.
“I had a little relationship with this girl, and it didn’t go very well. Things ended, and a lot of the lyrics came from that. I put the story in the song. I was super invested in her. When the whole thing cut off abruptly, I had no closure. Luckily, I was starting to explore making music. I gave myself closure by expressing the feelings she left me with in ‘Love Letter,’” he explained.
“‘Love Letter’ was a really special project to me and I’m super excited to finally be dropping this music video for it! The video brings you through the studio sessions making ‘Love Letter,’ which is really dope because you guys all get to see and re-live the day we made this special song!” Payton shares.
“Come see me at VidCon, sooo excited,” Dixie wrote on her Instagram story.
The announcement also included stars Payton Moormeier, Noen Eubanks and Avani Gregg as well as Benji Krol, Alex Guzman, Drea Okeke, Isabella Avila and Seth Obrien.
VidCon is set to take place June 17th through 20th at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, Calif.
