Insiders are speaking out about the status of Kaia Gerber and Pete Davidson‘s relationship after it was reported that he is going to spend time focusing on his mental health.
Pete has entered a treatment facility and sources say he is “taking a break to work on his mental health,” according to E! News.
Kaia and Pete haven’t been talking much while he is in the program, sources say, and she “doesn’t know if she wants to continue in their relationship.” E!’s source says she “wasn’t comfortable with what she saw and doesn’t know if she can handle it.”
“What she saw happen with Pete was very concerning and scary for her… She cares about Pete and wants him to get better,” the insider said. “But their future is very much up in the air.”
Whatever happens, sources say there will be “no bad blood between the two.”
During his appearance, Pete revealed he’s dating someone – although he did not address her by name.
“It’s not fair, Colin. You get to date a famous woman and everyone’s delighted, but when I do it, the world wants to punch me in the throat,†he said.
“What’d I do? If I’m your type of guy that your daughter or mother is into, then trust me, I’m the best case scenario. There are a million guys who look like me, and I’m the only one who has a job. It’s like me or Tyga,” he joked.
Pete and Kaia have been linked since back in October.

Kaia and Pete shared kisses while laying on lounge chairs and held hands while walking around the pool deck, and couldn’t keep their hands off each other while swimming in the pool.
At one point, Pete took a water gun and blasted some water at a photographer who got a little too close for comfort.
Rumors about Pete, 26, and Kaia, 18, started swirling earlier this month and it’s clear that they are definitely a couple now.
His response? “I don’t ever make public statements about relationships ’cause I just don’t think it’s right, you know? I usually express how I feel about anything through work. So, I hope she’s well. I hope she’s very happy. And that’s pretty much it. And print doesn’t usually age well.â€
Pete and Ariana got engaged shortly after revealing that they were first dating. However, the relationship came to an end in October 2018.
He did address their split during a skit on Saturday Night Live a month after.
