The new installment finds down-on-his-luck Captain Jack (Depp) feeling the winds of ill-fortune blowing strongly his way when deadly ghost sailors, led by the terrifying Captain Salazar (Javier Bardem), escape from the Devil’s Triangle bent on killing every pirate at sea—notably Jack.
Jack’s only hope of survival lies in the legendary Trident of Poseidon, but to find it he must forge an uneasy alliance with Carina Smyth (Kaya Scodelario), a brilliant and beautiful astronomer, and Henry (Brenton Thwaites), a headstrong young sailor in the Royal Navy.

Brenton Thwaites is introduced for the first time as Henry in the Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales teaser trailer.
The trailer shows Javier Bardem‘s villainous character Captain Salazar visiting Henry in his prison cell and giving him the task of finding Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp).
“Find Sparrow for me and relay a message from Captain Salazar and tell him, ‘Death comes straight for him.’ Will you say that to him? Please?” Javier says in the clip.

Huge congratulations are in order for Kaya Scodelario – she officially just landed the female lead in the upcoming movie Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man Tell No Tales.
The 22-year-old actress had been rumored to be the frontrunner for the part, but producer Jerry Bruckheimer just confirmed the news!
“Pleased to announce that we cast Kaya Scodelario for the 5th Pirates of the Caribbean. Talented young actor from Skins & The Maze Runner,” he tweeted.
