Maitreyi Ramakrishnan & Darren Barnet Buddy Up at ‘Never Have I Ever’ Season Two Release Party!

Maitreyi Ramakrishnan and Darren Barnet are celebrating the release of the new season of Never Have I Ever!

The 19-year-old actress and the 30-year-old actor buddied up the mobile truck pop up activation celebration for the new season on Thursday afternoon (July 15) in New York City.

For the event, Maitreyi looked pretty in a bright yellow dress while Darren looked cool in a cream-colored leather jacket and black jeans.

Joining the co-stars at the premiere was their cast mate Poorna Jagannathan and the show's creator Mindy Kaling.

If you missed it, Chrissy Teigen was serving as the narrator for Darren‘s character Paxton, but recently decided to step down. She has been replaced by this model for the new season.

The second season of Never Have I Ever is just around the corner!

Netflix just revealed the first look at the upcoming season of the series, which stars Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Darren Barnet, Ramona Young, Lee Rodriguez, Poorna Jagannathan, Richa Moorjani and Jaren Lewison. Mindy Kaling created the series and continues to serve as executive producer, alongside Lang Fisher, who also serves as showrunner and writer.

In season two, Devi (Ramakrishnan) continues to deal with the everyday pressures of high school and drama at home, while also navigating new romantic relationships.

Tyler Alvarez joined the cast in the recurring role of Malcolm. Find out more about his character here!

It was also just revealed that Common will be joining the cast as Dr. Chris Jackson, a suave and debonair dermatologist who works in Nalini's (Jagannathan) building. His high-end practice and celebrity clients are impressive to everyone -- except Nalini.

Never Have I Ever is coming back for another season!

It was just revealed that the Netflix series is coming back for a second season.

Star Maitreyi Ramakrishnan shared the news with her cast mates in a funny new Zoom call video.

Every time someone new hopped on the call, they all commented on Maitreyi's new bangs.

"NHIE SEASON TWO!🧡 There are so many more important things than my bangs😅🎉 Can’t believe this is happening you guys. Season two here we come🧡," she captioned the video on Instagram.

The new series from creator and executive producer Mindy Kaling, stars Maitreyi Ramakrishnan in her first role ever.

Never Have I Ever is a coming-of-age comedy about the complicated life of a modern-day first-generation Indian American teenage girl named Devi, an overachieving high school sophomore who has a short fuse that gets her into difficult situations.

Poorna Jagannathan, Richa Moorjani, Benjamin Norris, Adam Shapiro, Ramona Young, Martin Martinez, Christina Kartchner, Jaren Lewison, and Jack Seavor McDonald also star.

The new show will premiere on Netflix on Monday, April 27th!
