Celebrities React to Guilty Verdict In George Floyd Case

Former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin has been found guilty in the killing of George Floyd.

After almost a month of the trial and ten hours of deliberation, the jury came to their verdict on the case.

Derek was charged on three counts and found guilty on all three. He has been charged with second-degree unintentional murder, third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter.

Many people were tuned in to find out the results and right after all counts were revealed, social media blew up with the words “guilty” and “justice.”

Tom Felton Posts Emotional Tribute for His 'Harry Potter' Mom Helen McCrory, Who Just Passed Away

Helen McCrory, who played Narcissa Malfoy in the Harry Potter movies, sadly passed away this week at the age of 52 following a battle with cancer.

The death was announced by her husband, Billions actor Damian Lewis, who wrote a touching farewell to her.

Helen played Tom Felton‘s mom in the popular franchise and he is reacting to the death in a new post on social media.

Tom took to Instagram on Saturday (April 17) to share an emotional note in which he revealed the things he wished he told Helen before she passed away.

Sean Giambrone, Hayley Orrantia & More 'The Goldbergs' Stars Mourn The Loss of George Segal

The cast of The Goldbergs lost a beloved co-star this week.

George Segal, who played Al “Pops” Solomon on the series, passed away on March 23rd due to complications from bypass surgery, his family confirmed.

“The family is devastated to announce that this morning George Segal passed away due to complications from bypass surgery,” his wife Sonia said in a statement, via Deadline.

George‘s final episode of The Goldbergs is reportedly set to air on April 7th.

The stars who played his family on the show took to social media to remember their late co-star.

“Today we lost a legend. It was a true honor being a small part of George Segal’s amazing legacy. By pure fate, I ended up casting the perfect person to play Pops. Just like my grandfather, George was a kid at heart with a magical spark. I think these memories say it all…” Goldbergs creator Adam F Goldberg shared on Twitter.

'Degrassi: The Next Generation' Co-Creator Releases Statement on Jahmil French

Degrassi: The Next Generation actor Jahmil French as sadly passed away.

The actor was only 29 years old when he died, reportedly on Monday (March 1). No cause of death has been revealed at this time.

“It is with a heavy heart that I confirm the passing of a dear friend and client Jahmil French,” his manager Gabrielle Kachman confirmed in a statement, via CNN. “He will be remembered by many for his passion for the arts, his commitment to his craft, and his vibrant personality. I ask that you keep his family and friends in your thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.”

Many of his co-stars have shared their condolences on social media, and Degrassi: The Next Generation co-creator Linda Schuyler just shared a statement on the Degrassi Twitter account.

“I am heartbroken to hear about the loss of Jahmil. Jahmil was an extraordinary talent and a bright light on and off the screen. He was a joy to work with on Degrassi: The Next Generation,” Linda said. “He brought an authenticity and burst of life to every scene he was in and infused his character ‘Dave’ with an airy lightness. Off screen Jahmil would always make me smile. He will be deeply missed.”

Ruth Bader Ginsburg has sadly passed away.

The 87-year-old Supreme Court Justice died at her home in Washington on Friday evening (September 18) with her family by her side.

The Supreme Court announced the news that she died from complications due to metastatic pancreas cancer.

“Our nation has lost a justice of historic stature. We at the Supreme Court have lost a cherished colleague. Today we mourn, but with confidence that future generations will remember Ruth Bader Ginsburg as we knew her — a tireless and resolute champion of justice,” Chief Justice John Roberts said in statement.

Just days before she passed, Justice Ginsburg reportedly told her granddaughter Clara Spera, “My most fervent wish is that I will not be replaced until a new president is installed.”

Celebrities Mourn The Heartbreaking Loss of Black Panther's Chadwick Boseman

Chadwick Boseman has sadly passed away.

The Black Panther actor died after a long battle with colon cancer at the age of 42, his family confirms.

“It is with immeasurable grief that we confirm the passing of Chadwick Boseman.⁣ Chadwick was diagnosed with stage III colon cancer in 2016, and battled with it these last 4 years as it progressed to stage IV,” they wrote on his social media.

'Glee' Actress Naya Rivera Dead at 33 After Her Body Is Recovered in Lake Piru

Naya Rivera has sadly passed away.

The 33-year-old Glee star’s body was recovered on Monday morning (July 13) after days of searching at Lake Piru in California.

Naya was out on a boating trip last Wednesday (July 8) with her four-year-old son Josey, and while they were swimming, she unfortunately was unable to make it back onto the boat.

“We are confident that the body we have found is that of Naya Rivera,” police said in a press conference on Monday afternoon. “There is no indication that this was foul play and no indication that this was a suicide.”

Naya is best know for her work on the hit show Glee, as well as Devious Maids, The Bernie Mac Show, and most recently starring in Step Up: Highwater.
