Sadie Sink Dishes on Max & Lucas' Relationship on 'Stranger Things' Season 3

Sadie Sink is spilling some info on her character Max’s relationship with Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin) on the upcoming third season of Stranger Things!

The 17-year-old actress dished that their relationship is the complete opposite of Eleven and Mike’s.

“You’ve obviously got Eleven and Mike, they’re in their relationship, and that’s kind of very much like the romantic relationship, and they’re so in love with each other, and obsessed with each other, and want to spend every second with each other,” she told Extra. “Max and Lucas are not like that, in any way. They kind of respect each other’s space, and they have their arguments, but it’s all fun, it’s lighthearted. I feel like it’s a realistic, middle school/high school relationship, that you don’t see on TV a lot.”

“I think our characters think they know more about dating and relationship advice than they really do, so they’re kind of helping Mike and Eleven out in that field,” Sadie added about Max and Lucas giving the others dating advice.

Stranger Things' Noah Schnapp Didn't Know What A Walkman Was Before Shooting Season 3

Noah Schnapp, Gaten Matarazzo, Sadie Sink, Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, and Caleb McLaughlin are opening up about the upcoming season of Stranger Things.

The six young stars are embracing the 80s in the new season, out on Netflix on July 4th, however, many didn’t know what the gadgets were then at all.

“My parents always told me about VHS tapes,” Noah recalled in a feature with NY Times. “And the Walkman, everyone had those. I had never even seen one until I got onto Stranger Things.”

Sadie added that is was all about the video games for her.

“I knew Pac-Man, but that was it. In Season 2, we had the arcade set and all the games were working, so in between takes you could go around and play whatever you wanted. I never actually played Dig Dug, though, because the machine they had didn’t work,” she shared.

Millie also opened up about Eleven’s mindset for the new episodes, especially with her powers.

“I don’t think El knows how to use her powers properly,” she says. “That’s what she learns about this season. Obviously it’s led her to a different lifestyle, and she has a lot of PTSD. But she’s trying to become normal again. Just like any other teenager, El’s learning not to be what people tell her to be and to be herself. I relate to that a lot.”

Millie Bobby Brown & Sadie Sink Dish On Eleven & Max's Friendship in 'Stranger Things' Season 3

Millie Bobby Brown and Sadie Sink are getting candid with fans about what they can expect to see with Eleven and Max’s budding friendship in the upcoming season of Stranger Things.

The two opened up in a new interview with Nerdist, say that “we’re two powerful girls in real life. And we’re also two powerful girls in the show. So it’s putting two powerful female forces together.”

Millie continued, “And girls that are tomboys like Max, and who are confused like Eleven, can see them together. It’s a really interesting dynamic.”

In the new season, “Max kind of takes Eleven under her wing and introduces her to the real world – shopping, having fun,” Sadie explained.

Millie and Sadie also addressed just why the two girls didn’t get along at first.

“Eleven hasn’t met many girls her own age before, so when she saw Max she immediately saw her as a threat,” Millie shared. “Max is like, the true definition of a girl, you know, she has long hair, she knows what her style is. She knows who she is. And Eleven is like, ‘I want to be you.’ It’s interesting.”
