The event benefits a non-profit organization called A Place Called Home, which provides arts, education, health services and community outreach for underprivileged young people ages 8-21, who live in South Central Los Angeles.

“I wrote this song the day after running into an ex at a party and the purpose of it was really to capture the feeling of how that one person can always make you feel deeper, and get you in your feels,” Sammi told us. “I wasn’t exactly sad or happy to see him, but I knew I was in my feelings and vulnerable around him.”
She added, “I wanted to acknowledge the way I was feeling so I can go ahead and forget about it, dance with my friends, and enjoy my time. I hope this song can do the same for you and make you dance!”

2. I go to lookouts to gather my thoughts and write music.

6. My little sister used to sneak up on me in my room. One time she found me singing to my mirror using a hairbrush as a microphone and dancing around to a Jonas Brothers song. (She took a video too!)
7. I’m more of a tea person than a coffee person.

9. I love fashion and finding new funky trends.
10. 99% of the time I’m probably singing a tune in my head.
The social star and beauty guru was elected Mane Addicts‘ Prom Queen with Aaron Carpenter as her Prom King at last night’s event in Los Angeles.
Guests like Jade Pettyjohn, Kara Royster, Katie Gill and Sammi Sanchez, enjoyed Paul Mitchell glam stations which offered event-goers the chance for a quick touch-up, or the opportunity to choose from a carefully curated style menu.
They also got to try out the event’s personalized snapchat filters and a branded photo wall, plus fresh corsages and a balloon arch worthy of the best high school prom.
