Simone Biles Just Clapped Back at Her Hair Critics In The Best Way

Simone Biles Just Clapped Back at Her Hair Critics In The Best Way

Over the weekend, Simone Biles achieved a lifelong dream of hers and became a Texans Cheerleader.

The 19-year-old Olympic gymnast was over the moon, and it definitely showed — until critics came to bring her down.

One troll went after her hair, another after how she looked in the cheer uniform.

“I have 1 question to everyone commenting about my hair when I genuinely look happy in the photo…” Simone replied to all of them in one sassy tweet. “Do you look perfect ALL the time? Everything in perfect order?”

The internet cheered for Simone‘s first clap back, of course. There wasn’t anything wrong with her at all. Nothing.

Then, she clapped back even louder with a tweet today, showing off her glowing and gorgeous smile.

“slayed from the ground up,” she wrote, not even caring if any haters came her way.

Fans Are Disappointed in Gabby Douglas For Her Response To Aly Raisman's Victim Blaming Tweet

Fans Are Disappointed in Gabby Douglas For Her Response To Aly Raisman's Victim Blaming Tweet

Aly Raisman has been opening up about her experience of being sexually assaulted by former Olympic gymnastics team doctor Larry Nassar for a few weeks.

Since sharing her story, Aly is determined to erase victim blaming altogether.

“Just because a women does a sext photoshoot or wears a sexy outfit, does not give a man the right to shame her or not believe he when she comes forward about sexual abuse. What is wrong with some of you?” Aly wrote in a tweet this morning.

Former Olympic teammate Gabby Douglas saw it, and responded in an unexpected way.

Obviously, her fans are disappointed. We’re disappointed. Gabby has since deleted her tweet, but as we all know, nothing is totally gone from the internet.

She tried to explain herself, however, that didn’t go well either.

After her response, Gabby‘s fans (or, now former fans) are teaching her a lesson about what victim blaming and shaming is on the social media network.

“You really should read up on rape and how no matter what you wear, your clothes have nothing to do with being raped. Your comment was heartbreaking, uneducated and misinformed. You owe victims an apology,” one fan responded to her.

Another added, “Sexual assault/abuse isn’t about what you wear. It’s about power. Someone could be head to toe covered and still be assaulted. I strongly encourage you to evaluate what you’re saying and how it can affect others, especially many young women who have looked up to you.”

Simone Biles was even shocked by her response.

Simone Biles Says Taking a Break From Gymnastics Was 'Exciting'

Simone Biles Says Taking a Break From Gymnastics Was 'Exciting'

Simone Biles is returning to gymnastics training full-time on November 1, and she’s glad she took a break.

“Mentally and physically, I’ve given myself a rest,” the 20-year-old gold medalist told ESPN. “We’ve gone through a lot our entire life and it feels like a job after a while. You don’t know what life is like without gymnastics, so it was exciting to get a little feel of what that was like.”

Returning to the gym will definitely take some getting used to.

“I’ve never taken a break from gymnastics, so it’s weird to see how I’ve lost muscle mass,” Simone explained. “Trying to do the same things feels different. There are some things I look back at and am like, ‘I have to do that again?’ It wasn’t scary before, but it’s scary now.”

We’re glad she was able to take some time to experience being a normal teenager for a while!

Well, almost normal anyway.

Gymnasts often take an extended hiatus after competing in the rigorous Olympic games, but Simone Biles is ready to get back on the beam.

The 20-year-old gold medalist is returning to gymnastics training full-time on November 1 and plans to compete in 2018.

“It’s going to be rough,” she told NBC Sports. “But the muscle memory is there because I’ve come and I’ve played in the gym. All of my skills are basically still there.”

Still, Simone will definitely be trying out some skills she hasn’t done in a while.

“There are a couple of skills, like on [balance] beam, that I haven’t done yet, like a dismount, because why would I just chuck that? There’s no way. And I haven’t vaulted since the Olympics.”

We have no doubt that she will be back and better than ever in no time. After all, as her performance on Dancing With the Stars proved, there is little this athlete cannot do.

Simone Biles' Boyfriend Took a Huge Risk on Their First Date

Simone Biles' Boyfriend Took a Huge Risk on Their First Date

Simone Biles‘ boyfriend Stacey Ervin took a serious risk on their first date!

“He took me to a sushi place,” Simone told People. “He knows I don’t like sushi and he forced me!”

Fortunately, the high-risk move paid off.

“It was out of my comfort zone, which I liked,” the Olympic gold medalist continued.

She also got real about what it’s like to date her, and what life will be like for the couple when she starts training full-time again in November.

“He’s an elite athlete and he’s traveled and stuff, so he understands it,” Simone said. “We already know in each other’s lives we don’t come first, and that’s okay with the both of us. So we do what we need to do, and then when we come together it’s fine.”

Sounds like a perfect match. The couple has been Instagram-official for over a month now, and it’s amazing that they support each other’s dreams.
