Lidya Jewett is giving us a behind-the-scenes look at her new movie Feel The Beat!

The 13-year-old actress stars as Kari in the new Netflix dance movie.

“I love that she goes after what she wants even if she is nervous. I love that she stands up for herself. I love that she loves to dance in the rain. I love that she loves her friends. I think you will love her too,” she said on Instagram about her character.

Lidya also opened up about how excited she is for others to see so much representation in this production.

“I think it is important, and definitely in times like these, for everyone to see themselves represented on screen…especially the kids,” Lidya told JJJ. “Kids everywhere will see themselves here. Different races, different family types, different body types, differently-abled. They are all here because we are all here.”

Among her co-stars in the BTS photos include Sofia Carson, Wolfgang Novogratz, Marissa Jaret Winokur, Shiloh Nelson, Eva Hague, Sadie Lapidus, and director Elissa Down.

Feel The Beat follows April (Carson) as her Broadway dreams are dashed and she moves back home to a small town in Wisconsin where she takes on a misfit group of young dancers.

Sofia Carson and R3HAB are back with another new song!

The 27-year-old actress and singer and the DJ just released their third track together, “Miss U More Than U Know”.

“miss you more than you know is out❤️ from my heart to yours, here we go @R3HAB ❤️,” Sofia wrote on Twitter.

Sofia and R3HAB have previously collaborated on the songs “I Luv U” and “Rumors“.

Sofia‘s new song comes out on the same day that her new dance movie, Feel The Beat, was released on Netflix!

Dove Cameron and Sofia Carson are urging fans to get out and vote!

The Descendants co-stars will be among many stars who are taking part in the virtual Rock The Vote #DemocracySummer2020 kickoff event and concert THIS Thursday (June 18).

“I am so honored to be part of Democracy Summer 2020 and the Rock the Vote virtual event! Our country and democracy are at a critical tipping point,” Dove said in a statement. “Now more than ever we have the opportunity to enact change by combating systemic racism, the climate crisis and the regular assault on our basic human rights as American citizens. We must elect leaders on a local and national level that will fight for the reform that our country needs. We as Gen Z and Millennials make up about 40% of all voters in this country. Our influence, our power, our VOICES are loud. Let’s make them heard!”

Katy Perry and the Black Eyed Peas are co-headlining the event, along with other performances and appearances from Lucy Hale, Alex Wolff, Ne-Yo, Logan Browning, MAX, Skylar Astin, Rosario Dawson and more!

The virtual event to help kick off Democracy Summer 2020, is an “effort led by Rock the Vote in partnership with Voto Latino Foundation, When We All Vote, March For Our Lives and many more, to register and mobilize 200,000 new voters over the summer.”

It will also “highlight the importance of supporting Black Lives and young people’s incredible power to organize and create change. More than 4-million young people turn 18 this year and will be eligible to vote for the first time.”

During the live stream, funds will be raised for Black-led and focused organizations like the National Action Network, Community Justice Action Fund, and more.

Sofia Carson shows off her beautiful voice while singing a Disney classic on Good Morning America on Thursday morning (April 16).

The 27-year-old entertainer performed “Someday” from The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and also talked about her participation in the Disney Family Singalong.

“I am so excited. Kenny [Ortega] called me last week, and he was like, ‘Sofia, we’re going to do ‘We’re All In This Together’ and I need my Descendants cast and my High School Musical cast together’, and I couldn’t stop smiling,” Sofia told GMA. “It’s such an honor, not only to be part of such a beautiful moment in history but to sing that song, ‘We’re All In This Together’, in this moment, I think these words have never rung more true. I’m really honored and can’t wait for everyone to see it.”
