The showrunners of Supergirl are explaining why something didn’t happen on the show in a recent episode…
In a recent episode, Alex’s (Chyler Leigh) girlfriend Kelly Olsen (Azie Tesfai) found out that Kara Danvers (Melissa Benoist) is really Supergirl, but it didn’t happen on camera at all.
Fans were disappointed that they didn’t get to see the conversation between Alex and Kelly where she told her, and now the showrunners are sharing why they decided it would be off screen.
In a new interview with EW, Melissa opened up about the one request she had when producers asked her how she wanted Kara Zor-El’s journey to end.
“They pitched it to me because they wanted to know if I had any input as to where I wanted to see Kara ending up at the end of the series,” she said. “I had one request, and it wasn’t even something they were thinking about doing. They pitched me the end, and it’s really lovely. It’s a great ending. I feel fantastic about it.”
The cast was seen on set just one day before the sixth and final season premieres on The CW on Tuesday (March 30).
