This week’s all new Sydney to the Max comes with a very important message about microaggressions.

The new episode imparts invaluable lessons on the impact of identity-based microaggressions, the importance of people feeling a sense of belonging, and the power in standing up for yourself.

'Sydney To The Max' Cast Talk Season 3, Plus Watch This Exclusive Sneak Peek From Tonight's Premiere!

Sydney To The Max is premiering it’s third season TONIGHT (March 19) and we have an exclusive clip right here.

The new season kicks off with the episode “Tearin’ Up My Room,” where with her dad’s permission, Sydney enlists Olive to help remodel her bedroom to fit her new “artsy Syd” 8th grade persona. In the ‘90s, Max is struggling being the shortest kid in his class and tries to make himself look taller.

In the clip, Jackson Dollinger‘s Young Max, with the help of his BFF Leo, tries to make himself taller with his hair and making his own platform shoes.

Sydney To The Max season three premieres TONIGHT (March 19) at 8:25pm ET/PT on Disney Channel and DisneyNOW. You can also catch up or re-watch seasons one and two on Disney+!

Disney Channel Announces 'Sydney To The Max' Season 3 Premiere Date!

Sydney To The Max is coming back!

It was just announced that the upcoming third season of the Disney Channel series will premiere on Friday, March 19th at 8:25pm ET/PT.

This season, Sydney and her friends, along with Young Max and Leo in the ’90s, embark on eighth grade and take on challenging and relevant issues such as struggles with cultural identity, trying to fit in, coping with divorce and the impact of microaggressions.

Additional storylines featured in season three touch upon the pitfalls of social media, funny moments when dealing with your crush, and adapting to having a virtual bat mitzvah instead of your dream celebration.

Sydney To The Max of course stars Ruth Righi as Sydney, Ian Reed Kesler as Max, Caroline Rhea as Judy Reynolds (in both decades), Ava Kolker as Sydney’s best friend Olive, Jackson Dollinger as young Max and Christian J. Simon as young Max’s best friend, Leo.

'Sydney To The Max' Cast Dish On Their Favorite Birthday Memories, PLUS An Exclusive Clip From This Week's Episode!

Sydney is celebrating her birthday on Sydney to the Max this week!

In the new episode “Thirteen Candles,” Sydney is turning 13 and sets out to plan a sophisticated birthday party. Her plans remind Max of when he tried to organize his own surprise party for his thirteenth birthday back in the 90s.

To celebrate this new birthday-themed episode, we spoke to the young stars of the show – Ruth Righi, Ava Kolker, Jackson Dollinger and Christian J. Simon – and asked them about their favorite birthday memories, and what their dream party would be like.

“My dream birthday party would be a traveling birthday where I would get to see a new part of the world with my family and friends,” Ruth told JJJ. “I would spend the time exploring and taking in whichever place I ended up and celebrate with as many desserts as you can think of.”

Sydney To The Max's Ruth Righi & Ava Kolker Dish On Their Favorite Female Role Models!

Sydney To The Max is honoring great women in history in tonight’s all new episode!

In “Rock The Float,” Sydney, Olive and Sophia and Emmy are excited their design for the float honoring brave women was chosen for the annual Portland parade. The girls rocked the float dressed as their favorite female role models.

Inspired by her friends who were able to work on the project with their moms, Sydney paid tribute to her mother, who was a dedicated doctor before she passed away. Olive, Emmy and Sophia chose to honor acclaimed physicist and chemist Marie Curie, Mexican artist and feminist icon Frida Kahlo and Supreme Court justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, respectively.

JJJ spoke to stars Ruth Righi and Ava Kolker, and got the scoop about their personal favorite female role models, and why they’re excited for fans to see this episode.

“I believe this episode holds very valuable themes and ideas,” Ruth told us. “One thing I love about it, is it’s message and emphasis on women empowerment. Not only do we pay tribute to a few of history’s influential and powerful women, but we also reflect on the importance of respect for family.”

“I am always inspired by strong women who lead their own path and break all boundaries of what’s possible at a particular time in society,” Ava added. “I love this episode because it encourages young women to be fearless about their opinions, and to find out what they’re passionate about and use their voice to fight for it.”

As for their own female role models, Ruth shared, “I have many female inspirations that I look up to for different reasons, but one in particular is my grandma. She is constantly positive and determined no matter the circumstances and never fails to put a smile on people’s faces with anything she does.”

Ava mentioned that her mom is her fave. “I have to say my mom because she’s strong and has taught me to not see boundaries in what’s possible in my life and to be hard working and that there are no limits to what can be achieved when you go after it with all your heart and passion.”

'Coop & Cami' & 'Sydney To The Max' To Kick Off June With Week of New Episodes!

Disney Channel is about to premiere quite a few new episodes of Coop & Cami Ask The World and Sydney To The Max!

It was just announced that the shows will return on Monday, June 1st with a whole week of premieres.

Sydney To The Max will air Monday through Friday for the first week of June at 8pm ET/PT, and for the rest of the month on Friday nights at 8.

Coop & Cami will air right after Sydney To The Max for each of the same days.

Both shows went off the air for a brief hiatus in April, and fans will be excited to get new episodes this summer!

Bunk’d will also return at the end of the month on Sunday, June 21st, with new episodes airing weekly.

'Sydney To The Max' Cast Are Showing Their Appreciation For Teachers!

The Sydney To The Max cast know the importance of teachers!

On tonight’s (April 10) new episode directed by Raven-Symone, Sydney throws a tribute for her favorite teacher Mrs. Harris (Melissa Peterman) in hopes to save her job. Meanwhile, back in the 90s, Max bonds with Mrs. Harris during a trip to an art museum.

JJJ got to chat with the cast – Ava Kolker, Christian J. Simon, Jackson Dollinger and Ruth Righi – about what they hope kids and families will take away from this episode.

“I hope kids and families will realize how much an influential teacher can change the path your life can take and you never know when the inspiration for your future will strike in a class. It’s important to be open to learning and to see what each moment in your education brings,” Ava explained.
