Tahj Mowry To Reunite With 'Smart Guy' Sister Essence Atkins In New ABC Pilot!

Tahj Mowry has landed a new series regular role in an upcoming television pilot!

The former Baby Daddy star will be in the new series Black Don’t Crack, a comedy pilot for ABC, according to Deadline.

In the series, three former sorority sisters who lost touch after college, reunite during a pivotal point in their lives. They realize sometimes it’s okay to crack and when you do, no one will be there for you like your friends.

Tahj will play “Khalil Grant, Angela’s (Sherri Shepard) 20 something son. He is a recent college grad who is full of big ideas and big dreams, but has yet to get any of his start-up companies off the ground. A bit of slow starter at life, he lives in his mother’s basement and still relies on her to do his laundry and front him rent money. He is fiercely protective of his family and is gradually growing into a responsible adult.”

This series will also reunite Tahj with his Smart Guy co-star Essence Atkins, who will be one of the former sorority sisters. It’s been over 20 years since Smart Guy aired, where Essence played Tahj‘s older sister.

Black Don’t Crack also stars Tisha Campbell, Beth Grant and Isaiah Mustafa.

If you missed it, Tahj will also be guest starring in the upcoming season of Family Reunion, which stars his sister Tia Mowry-Hardrict.

The new season continues to follow the McKellans as they settle into their new lives in the South and even more hilarious antics ensue as they learn to live together under M’Dear’s roof and the family bonding gets real.

“In Part 3, the McKellans will grapple with comprehending death, experience financial insecurity, explore the awkwardness of discussing race with nonblack friends, and fight gentrification after discovering the importance of knowing their history. The younger characters learn from the lived experiences of their elders,” series creator Meg Deloatch said in a statement.

This season will also have some great co-stars, including Tia‘s brother Tahj Mowry, Zombies 2‘s Ariel Martin, Ashley Garcia‘s Bella Podaras, Anika Noni Rose and more. If you missed it, this Julie and the Phantoms star will also be have a role on the show this season!

Family Reunion part three will premiere on April 5th on Netflix.

Ashley Tisdale looks super cute and in theme at the season three premiere of Stranger Things on Friday night (June 28) in Santa Monica, Calif.

The Merry Happy Whatever actress was joined by fellow girl boss Marsai Martin and Alyson Stoner.

“Yes I got to see the first two episodes of @strangerthingstv and yes it’s even better than last season. @netflix,” Ashley shared on Instagram.

Marcel Ruiz, Ali Skovbye & More Step Out For 'Breakthrough' Premiere in LA

Marcel Ruiz hits the red carpet at the premiere of his new movie, Breakthough, held at Westwood Regency Theater on Thursday night (April 11) in Los Angeles.

The 15-year-old actor met up with co-stars Ali Skovbye, Maddy Martin, Taylor Mosby, Nikolas Dukic, Isaac Kragten, and Travis Bryant, as well as Chrissy Metz for the event.

Other stars spotted on the red carpet were This Is Us‘s Mackenzie Hancsicsak, Niles Fitch, Parker Bates, and Eris Baker, along with Madeline Carroll, Tahj Mowry, and Jake T. Austin.

Breakthough opens in theaters next Friday, April 17th.

Issac Ryan Brown & Tahj Mowry Have 'Wade' 10 Year Challenge Meet Up at 'Kim Possible' Premiere

Issac Ryan Brown and Tahj Mowry team up on the green carpet premiere for Kim Possible held at The Television Academy on Tuesday night (February 12) in Los Angeles.

If you don’t know, Tahj voiced Wade in the original cartoon, and Issac plays the character in the movie, which premieres on Friday, February 15th.

“#10YearChallenge,” Issac joked on his Instagram. “😭 @tahj_mowry thanks for paving the way for me to come and play 🤣 #Wade2002 #Wade2019.”

Issac was joined at the premiere by his Raven’s Home co-stars Navia Robinson, Jason Maybaum, Sky Katz and Raven Symone.

Sky has a song in the new movie, and Raven also played Monique in the original series as well.

Obviously, he was in Baby Daddy as the loveable Tucker Dobbs, he was Smart Guy, then there was Full House, Sister Sister, and even Friends.
