Jake Paul Reveals Whether He & Tana Mongeau Will Get Back Together: 'You Never Know'

Tana Mongeau smiles up at Jake Paul while supporting him at the Jake Paul VS. Anesongib press conference held at Beauty & Essex on Wednesday afternoon (January 8) in Los Angeles.

The former couple are still good friends despite announcing their break up at the start of the year.

“I fell in love with boxing, and I fell out of love with Tana,” Jake revealed to ET at the event, about one of the causes behind their split. “I’ll always love her. I think we’re just better off as friends.”

He added, “When we kind of made that decision, it was like a weight lifted off of both of our shoulders. It kind of reminded us, like, how the relationship started, which was friends.”

Jake also chimed in on whether the two would reunite one day: “We’ll see, I really don’t know. If you’d asked me three years ago if I’d be standing here right now doing a f***ing interview about boxing and knocking kids out, I’d be like, ‘Absolutely not. I’m on Disney channel and I’m a vlogger.’ So, I don’t know what the future holds, but you never know.”

Tana Mongeau Teases New Documentary Coming Out This Year

Tana Mongeau is teasing new things for 2020!

The 21-year-old YouTuber shared a brief 2019 recap and what she has planned for the new year.

“i really didn’t wanna be one of those people posting a 10 photo highlight reel to instagram to “capture” my year. quite frankly- far too much happened in 2020 for me to make anything less than a 30 minute YouTube recap. look out for that,” Tana started off.

“2019 was a rollercoaster for me. it taught me that a lot of moments that look happy aren’t and to be grateful for those who make you wanna live. it taught me that i only want to live for authenticity and passion because they’re the only thing that keeps the fire alive. f–k,” she continued. “what i do wanna share though is how i ended my 2019- with a sold out variety show in NYC with @livenation and all of my best friends (family). we ended the year posted up in the most beautiful crib i’ve ever stayed at, playing piano, singing, drinking, and laughing. then we played a sold out show at the f–king Gramercy Theater, singing and laughing a lot more. this trip reminded me what i live for, and who i want to coexist with.”

“this highlight reel can’t even begin to capture what this trip did for me- which is why i have a documentary on it coming 2020. happy i ended the year this way, with all of you and the people i love. doing what i love. previewing new music aka my soul. being my most authentic self. that’s what 2020 will be for me. 🥰🎥,” Tana concluded.

Tana has teased new music for this year, the second season of her MTV reality show, a possible MTV show with Jake Paul, and she’s even working on a book!

“ok i don’t rly know how to do a ‘we’re taking a break’ post & this is weird as f–k… i’m happy to still be able to sit with Jake and laugh as we do this- but for right now we both are taking a break to focus on our own very crazy lives… i’ll never know what the future holds and i will always love Jake and everything we did,” Tana wrote in her post.

Tana Mongeau Admits Her Marriage to Jake Paul Isn't as Great as it Seems - Watch

Tana Mongeau isn’t holding anything back.

The 21-year-old YouTuber took to YouTube to post a video titled “the truth about everything” where she revealed that her marriage to Jake Paul isn’t as great as it appears to be.

“I am so unhappy with the way my relationship looks in the public eye, and I’ve done so much pretending I don’t care when I do,” Tana says in the video. “I did so much of being the “cool girl” and not “caring” and I think I just put so much of myself into Jake that I lost myself.”

“It was the best feeling in the world to be so on the same page with someone, it was like a drug,” Tana said about when she and Jake first started dating. “Something that was making me the happiest, most motivated, most inspired I’d ever been was also simultaneously helping me succeed and achieve so many dreams I’d had.”

Tana then went on to explain how not sharing her true feelings with Jake has gotten worse since they got married.

“Everyone thought it for clout and fame, and that made it so much worse for me mentally,” she said. “After me and Jake got married, I feel like everything changed.”

Tana and Jake married back in July after a whirlwind relationship. Not long the wedding, Jake was spotted hanging out with his ex-girlfriend Erika Costell again.

“I felt like I was opening my phone every day to something that just broke me further,” Tana said. “Finding out about the Erika s–t on Twitter killed me, because Jake and I had so many conversations where he like villainized her, and I spent so much time trying to be everything she wasn’t.”

Despite all of this, Tana isn’t putting the blame on Jake, but blames herself with not being more honest with her feelings to her husband.

“Jake and I both have these psycho busy lives, and trying to fit each other in just gets harder and harder, and so many things keep hurting me further,” Tana shared. “I don’t ever want to be on bad terms [with him], I don’t ever want to hate each other.”

As of right now, Tana says she and Jake are still together.
