Disney+ has announced it’s slate of fall releases!

The streaming platform will be adding a lot of new, original content, as well as fan favorite blockbuster films and more.

One of the most notable new additions coming to Disney+ is the film The Fault In Our Stars, starring Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort.

The 2014 film was produced by Fox 2000 Pictures and distriibuted by 20th Century Fox, which was bought out by Disney in 2019, so it was only a matter of time before the movie made it’s way to the streaming platform. Fans can look for it to come out later this month!

Other big titles coming out include Big, Hidden Figures, Bend It Like Beckham, Ever After, The Mandalorian season two and Secret Society of Second-Born Royals.

The new fall additions to Disney+ will roll out from now through November.

Today is a very special day to John Green – it’s Esther Earl‘s birthday.

If you remember, Esther was the inspiration behind The Fault in Our Stars, one of John‘s amazing novels, that was turned into a movie with Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort.

“Happy Esther Day,” John greeted Twitter this morning (August 3). “Before she died in 2010, Esther Earl asked us to remember her birthday with a celebration of love among family and friends. And so every August 3rd, people around the world take a moment to say ‘I love you’ to those they care about.”

He added, “Esther would be–should be–24 years old today, navigating the treacherous waters of early adulthood.”

“I miss her, as so many people do. But I also see her work and love continuing through her family and @tswgo. I’m grateful to them, and to everyone who shares love on Esther Day.”

If you haven’t heard, it’s not just Riverdale that’s getting the Bollywood treatment — it’s also The Fault in Our Stars!

According to THR, the critically acclaimed movie will have a Hindi-language remake — and it looks like both Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort approve of it!

Indian actors Sanjana Sanghi and Sushant Singh Rajput have been cast to star as the two leads.

Shailene and Ansel, who played leads Hazel and Augustus in the original movie, sent their stamp of approval on social media earlier this week, in the most TFIOS way possible.

“okay? @AnselElgort okay ;),” Shailene wrote with a link to the story.

Ansel replied, “Wow!We are gonna watch this together okay?”

The Fault in Our Stars was an amazing, amazing movie, and JJJ can hardly believe it’s been three years since the premiere of it.

Star Ansel Elgort got nostalgic about the movie on Twitter recently, and after asking fans for their fave moments in the flick, was definitely feeling all the feels (sorry, we had to).

Speaking with PopSugar later on, Ansel revisited the role and just how much playing Augustus Waters meant to him.

“That role was a great role for me at a young age,” Ansel shared. “I felt like that was my first opportunity to really be an actor, and like, take a movie on my shoulders.”

He continued, “But since then I’ve done a lot of things that I’ve felt like I’ve learned a lot from; I don’t think I could have gone straight from The Fault in Our Stars to this [Baby Driver].”

Ansel cited other films he had done since then, which is just about 10 movies in between.

“TFIOS means a lot to me because it was that first movie that everyone saw,” Ansel adds. “I filmed that four years ago, so I don’t think of that still as like – ya know, filming was only like a month long. It’s funny that a movie that was only a month of my life had such a lasting effect.”

Ansel Elgort shows his excitement for his 2015 MTV Movie Awards wins while watching the show from his hotel room on Sunday night (April 12) in Providence, R.I.

The 21-year-old actor wasn’t able to attend the awards show in Los Angeles as he is currently working on a movie on the east coast.

“Watching the MTV movie awards from providence because I’m filming tomorrow at 6am. Wish I could be there :( Rooting for u shai!! #tfios,” Ansel tweeted.

Ansel and Shailene Woodley picked up the award for Best Kiss and their film won Best Movie.

“YAY YAY YAY YAY YAY!!! We won best movie!!! #mtvmovieawards!!!” he tweeted at the end of the night.

“The Fault in Our Stars” author John Green is sending signed copies of his beloved novel to the public library in Ferguson, Missouri.

The 37-year-old writer signed on to Reddit during an AMA with Ferguson Library Director Scott Bonner, after he said the novel was a favorite among patrons.

Someone later criticized John for making his donation public, so he took to Twitter to explain. Read his tweets below!
