Addison Rae Dishes On Her Process of Creating a TikTok Video

Addison Rae is opening up about making TikTok videos!

The 19-year-old TikTok star is the second most followed person on the platform, and she’s sharing her tips.

During the latest episode of her podcast Mama Knows Best, Addison revealed how long it takes her to learn dances, her set up and more.

“TikTok is like a fun way for me to express myself and connect with other people and really just form relationships with everyone,” she said. “Obviously, with that comes making a video. Sometimes it’s a process, it doesn’t always take one time and you’re done. Luckily, I’ve gotten better at it to where like if I know a dance it’s super easy to do it one and done but I’m always a little picky.”

“For me, usually it’ll take me like three to five minutes [to learn a dance]. The same moves are in almost every TikTok dance, it’s just about changing the order and then doing the faces I want or having the attitude or whatever fun things like that,” Addison added.

As for the behind-the-scenes of trying to make a video, she said sometimes her little brother Lucas “is a little brat,” as little brothers can be.

“Nothing ever happens behind the scenes of my TikToks like they’re all very fun and we’re laughing the whole time. We don’t take anything too seriously when posting videos because it’s just about being yourself and having fun,” Addison shared. “But, I think with our family TikTok, we’ll get in fights sometimes because Lucas is a little brat sometimes…”

Addison‘s tips for making a good TikTok video include “to be yourself, come with new content that people haven’t seen before or exciting things that you haven’t seen on the app… It’s always good to bring something new to the platform because you never know what people want to see or what new things could become a trend.”

Judge Blocks TikTok Ban By President Trump Hours Before Going Into Effect

The TikTok ban has been temporary blocked by a federal judge!

On Sunday evening (September 27), it was announced that the judge had halted President Trump‘s ban on new downloads and updates of the app in the U.S., Variety reports.

The ban was set to go into effect later that night, but the ruling grants TikTok’s motion for a preliminary injunction.

“We’re pleased that the court agreed with our legal arguments and issued an injunction preventing the implementation of the TikTok app ban,” TikTok said in a statement. We will continue defending our rights for the benefit of our community and employees. At the same time, we will also maintain our ongoing dialogue with the government to turn our proposal, which the President gave his preliminary approval to last weekend, into an agreement.”

The Commerce Department had originally set the ban to go into effect on September 20th, but it was delayed by a week.

Just before the planned September 20th ban, the interim head of TikTok, Vanessa Pappas, shared a statement that the app wasn’t going anywhere. See her full post below!

New TikTok App Updates & Downloads To Be Banned In the U.S. On September 20th

Looks like President Trump is still moving forward with a ban on TikTok!

The short form video app, which is owned by ByteDance, recently announced they were partnering with tech company Oracle to take over operations in the United States.

However, their deal has not been fully approved by the Commerce Department and as of THIS Sunday (September 20), users in the U.S. will not be able to download updates and new users won’t be able to download the app.

The president has set a deadline of November 12th for the deal to be approved, otherwise the app will be fully banned in the country.

“If the TikTok deal with Oracle and other parties is approved before Sunday, Trump could drop the app download ban,” Variety reports.

“We disagree with the decision from the Commerce Department, and are disappointed that it stands to block new app downloads from Sunday and ban use of the TikTok app in the U.S. from November 12,” a TikTok spokesperson said in a statement. “Our community of 100 million U.S. users love TikTok because it’s a home for entertainment, self-expression, and connection, and we’re committed to protecting their privacy and safety as we continue working to bring joy to families and meaningful careers to those who create on our platform.”

TikTok Sells US Operations to Computer Tech Company Oracle Ahead of Trump's Deadline

Microsoft has lost out on the bid to purchase the US operations rights to TikTok!

It was announced over the weekend that computer technology corporation Oracle and the video app’s parent company ByteDance will go into partnership for the US operations.

Microsoft, Oracle and even Walmart were all in talks to take over the operations, and had until September 20th to come to an agreement as President Trump had signed an executive order to ban the app in the US over safety concerns.

“We are confident our proposal would have been good for TikTok’s users, while protecting national security interests,” Microsoft said in a blog post. “To do this, we would have made significant changes to ensure the service met the highest standards for security, privacy, online safety, and combatting disinformation, and we made these principles clear in our August statement.”

In case you missed it, TikTok had previously announced that it was going to seek legal action against the President and his executive order.
