In “Coronation”, With France in a state of famine, as well as religious and political unrest, Mary (Kane) looks for a way to feed the people, risking the wrath of a vengeful Lord Narcisse (Craig Parker); and Francis (Regbo) is preoccupied by the harrowing suspicion that his dead father’s spirit can possess the living and is haunting Francis as revenge for his murder.
Meanwhile, as Catherine (Megan Follows) makes excessive and lavish preparations for a coronation ceremony to give the impression of stability to the realm, Bash (Torrance Coombs) confronts the reality of a country plagued by fear, bankruptcy, and murder.

In “Drawn & Quartered”, in the aftermath of the plague, a powerful lord (Craig Parker) discovers that Mary (Adelaide Kane) was responsible for the death of his son and demands vengeance, testing the loyalties of Mary, Francis (Toby Regbo) and Catherine (Megan Follows). Francis returns to the castle with Lola (Anna Popplewell) and their newborn son, creating tension with Mary.

Torrance Coombs: Yeah, certainly everyone is in danger. If not from the plague then from the devious people trying to take advantage of the plague/hide their crimes. With Francis being out of the castle, Bash is very directly responsible for all the stuff that’s going down in the castle. He’s just trying to maintain order among the chaos. We have these “plague rooms” and we have to put 10 people in these rooms, and maybe the wrong people are in the rooms. Or maybe you put un-sick people in the room and then they get sick. Sometimes you’re just going to come into contact with some sick people, and you have to hope for the best.

Wow does Adelaide Kane look gorgeous in these new season two Reign cast portraits!

When the show returns for the premiere, the new King and Queen of France, Francis (Regbo) and Mary (Kane) are plummeted into chaos after the Black Plague ravages the land and creeps inside the castle, threatening lives and the stability of their new rule.

Adelaide Kane goes in for an embrace with Torrance Coombs as they touch down at Toronto Pearson International Airport on Wednesday night (September 4) in Toronto, Canada.
The 24-year-old actress and 31-year-old actor were joined by Torrance‘s longtime girlfriend Alyssa Campanella as they prepare to shoot more season two episodes.
