Will Poulter suits up for the premiere of his new film, The Revenant, held at Empire Leicester Square on Thursday night (January 14) in London.
The 22-year-old actor was joined by Game of Thrones stars Maisie Williams and Isaac Hempstead-Wright.
“It’s always a real honor when you get to portray someone who really existed, and obviously Jim went on to become such a noteworthy frontiersmen, so that added a little additional pressure for me,” Will told Hunger magazine about taking on the role of a real person.
He added, “There was definitely an additional sense of responsibility to get the basics right. But beyond basic facts about Jim – his age at the time, how he fitted into the story – for me and it was just about identifying with the human aspects of the character, just being a person on that environment. With Jim it was about zoning in on that transitional period between being a boy and becoming a man, and it just so happens to coincide with the most horrendous and difficult ordeal of his life.”

The night before, the 22-year-old British actor stepped out at the 2016 Golden Globes where his film The Revenant was honored.
Will recently opened up about the movie and his co-star Leonardo DiCaprio.
“I think that’s the most rewarding thing from speaking to people who’ve watched it,” Will said. “They feel the immersion. Leo described the camerawork brilliantly. He said it was like a voyeuristic fly, which is very true – it’s like an insect buzzing around the action. It’s a different experience to anything I’ve seen before. It just doesn’t feel like regular camerawork – there’s some sort of voodoo magic in what Alejandro [Iñárritu, the director] and his entire team achieved.”

Michael B. Jordan and Will Poulter suit up for the 2016 Golden Globe Awards held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Sunday (January 10) in Beverly Hills, Calif.
The two young actors hit the red carpet to rep their movies, Creed and The Revenant, which where both up for several awards.
The Revenant took home Best Dramatic Performance in a Motion Picture for Leonardo DiCaprio, and Sylvester Stallone picked up the Best Supporting Performance honor for Creed.

Saoirse Ronan brightens up the 2016 BAFTA Los Angeles Awards Season Tea held at Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills on Saturday afternoon (January 9) in Los Angeles.
The 21-year-old Brooklyn actress was joined at the event by British actors Will Poulter and Ed Westwick.
The night before, Saoirse spoke on stage during the SAG-AFTRA Foundation conversations event at Zanuck Theater.
Just after the BAFTA nominations were announced this week, a Sky News anchor “claimed” Saoirse as British — and fans are not happy about it.
“If we look at the leading actress category, I think we can take Saoirse Ronan as one of ours. She’s in Brooklyn. She’s nominated,” the reporter said.

Will Poulter shows off his sharp style at the red carpet premiere of The Revenant held at TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood on Wednesday night (December 16).
The 22-year-old actor recently sat down with Fox 5 to chat about filming the movie.
“Conventionally, you’d light each frame individually with electricity. Not Alejandro [Gonzalez Iñárritu, director],” Will explained about how much time during the day they had to film. “They shot it with natural light – we shot all on location with real weather elements – for us it was amazing.”
He added, “I think you wouldn’t get that authenticity or that kind of realness that you get when you watch it if we were in a studio with green screen and a wind blower.”
