Get your very first look at Mena Massoud, Naomi Scott, and Will Smith as Aladdin, Jasmine, and the Genie in the upcoming live action Aladdin movie on the brand new cover of Entertainment Weekly!
“Having a Disney princess that looked something like me, I think was really powerful,†Naomi told the mag. “Jasmine’s main objective at the beginning is to really protect her people and to do right by them. She definitely isn’t a finished article at the beginning of the movie, but she has this beautiful arc and progression, and she goes from asking for what she wants to just taking it, and displaying that she is a leader.â€
The movie will hit theaters on May 24, 2019.

Here is your first look at Mena Massoud playing the title character in the upcoming live-action remake of the classic Disney movie Aladdin!
The movie is set to hit theaters in May 2019 and it will also star Naomi Scott as Princess Jasmine and Will Smith as the Genie.
The quick look at the Guy Ritchie-directed movie shows off the sprawling scenery of Agrabah and the cave where Aladdin obtains the magic lamp.
The last shot of the trailer shows Mena grabbing the lamp in the cave.
Jaden Smith is getting a lift, courtesy of his famous dad Will Smith!
The 20-year-old star got on his dad’s shoulders in a picture posted on Will‘s Instagram on Wednesday (October 3).
“I saw this Father in @Target with his Child on his shoulders… I got Jealous. Fathers out there… Y’all ready for the #PiggyBackChallenge?†he wrote.
Will also insisted on carrying his son up the escalator and out of the store, even to the point of Jaden almost hitting his head!

The photos were posted by their dad Will Smith, who said that his wife Jada Pinkett Smith made them wear the ugly Christmas sweaters they are seen in.
“Somebody Please Help! Jada makes us wear these Ugly Ass Sweaters for Christmas… She’s Doin’ Too Much! And she’s just gettin’ Started,” Will captioned a selfie of him not looking happy.
On the family selfie he added, “Tryna get some photos in before these sweaters start Itchin’! I’m starting to feel it already. @treysmith0011 we wish you were here.”
