Toni Braxton on Selena Gomez's Lupus Battle: 'I'm So Proud Of Her'

Toni Braxton has nothing but praise for Selena Gomez‘s openness with her battle with Lupus.

The 50-year-old singer and actress recently opened up about her own battle with the auto-immune disease and how she’s inspired by the 25-year-old entertainer.

“I’m so proud of her,” she told People. “She’s one of the bravest girls I know, and she put it out there and said ‘I’m not gonna let you judge me and I’m not gonna be a victim and I’m a survivor.’ Just telling her story [makes her] a pioneer.”

“She sings! That’s the hardest thing!” Toni added. “It’s energy to sing! I don’t know how she does it because some days, if I’m having a bad day and I still have to do a show it’s a lot of, ‘You sing’ to the audience.”
