OlderJordin Sparks & Lauren Alaina Join 'American Idol' Panel During TCA Tour
Lauren Alaina gets the giggles after a joke spread on the American Idol panel at the FOX portion during the 2016 Winter TCA Tour held at the Langham Huntington Hotel on Friday afternoon (January 15) in Pasadena, Calif.
The season 10 runner-up joined winner Scotty McCreery, plus other Idol winners Nick Fradiani, Kris Allen, David Cook, Jordin Sparks, and Ruben Studdard on the panel with judges Keith Urban, Jennifer Lopez, Harry Connick, Jr. and host Ryan Seacrest.
On the panel, all three judges and Ryan were quick to say that this current season may not be its’ final.
“You never know with a format like this – it’s possible,” Jennifer shared during the debate of whether season 15 was the “final” or “farewell”. “Whether they’re making a mistake, if that’s the feeling, right now, that’s their feeling….At the end of the day you never know.”
Ryan added, “I was just speaking to Gary and Dana [cochairs/CEOs Dana Walden and Gary Newman] before the session. The numbers look great this season and we’re all pleased people are watching, and some are coming back to watch…Does that mean it’s the end? I’m not so sure.”
