Ariana Grande was so overcome with emotions after finishing up months of work on the project!

“I don’t know where to start,” she wrote along with a black-and-white Instagram photo of herself dressed up as her character, Penny Pingleton, during the event as she watched the screen backstage (below). “crying so much today.”
“my heart is with hairspray,” she added. “my heart is in Baltimore with penny lou pingleton and seaweed and tracy and Mr. & Mrs. Turnblad the motormouth kids and the nicest kids. such a bittersweet feeling.”
