Liam Payne Says He & Cheryl Cole Are Not Secretly Married

Liam Payne is clearing up any rumors that he and girlfriend Cheryl Cole have secretly tied the knot!

The rumors started back in May when the “Get Low” singer casually referred to Cheryl as his “wife” during an interview.

Liam was discussing his love for In-N-Out, a popular burger chain in California. When asked if he moved to Los Angeles just for the burger, he replied, “Yeah, exactly! I left my wife and child at home and I was straight out to In-N-Out burger. I’m just kidding.”

In a new interview with People, Liam set the record straight, explaining, “In the U.K., you say ‘the Mrs.’” Regarding the possibility of marriage, Liam left it at, “Maybe one day.”

The two share four-month-old son Bear together.
