Dove Cameron Responds to Critic Who Says 'Descendants 3' is Too Political

Dove Cameron had the perfect response for a critic who feels that Descendants 3 gets too political for a younger audience.

The highly anticipated film premiered on Disney Channel over the weekend.

It started when one Twitter user wrote, “Descendants really did that… made an iconic film for kids and made a political statement about immigration and walls at the same time. #Descendants3.”

Another user replied, “Can’t just [enjoy] a movie anymore, it’s really sad,” to which the first person asked, “What’s the point of a movie, especially a kids movie, if it doesn’t have a meaning/message?”

“All about meaning and a message but politics can stay out of Disney movies thanks,” the person responded.

Another person then chimed in with, “Maybe it’s less about politics and more about treating people like people? Like everyone deserves a chance to live the good life?” The critic’s response to that was, “Lol it’s about villains…not much different then putting criminals in jail. I think politics should be left to adults and not children.”
