5 Seconds of Summer Announce Their UK & European Tour Is Postponed

5 Seconds of Summer has some rather disappointing, but expected news to share…

The guys – Michael Clifford, Luke Hemmings, Calum Hood and Ashton Irwin – shared on Twitter that their UK and European tour, set to start in May, is officially postponed.

5SOS‘ news comes as no surprise, as pretty much all concerts and tours are being canceled or postponed amid the Coronavirus pandemic.

“While playing our ‘No Shame Tour’ this year still remains uncertain, what is clear is that Banquet Records and a number of our upcoming UK and European dates will be postponed due to the ongoing health crisis,” they wrote in a note. “We were so excited to play these shows and see everyone but our priority is always the safety of our fans, venue staff and touring crew.”

“In the meantime, hold on to your tickets as we and our team are working quickly to reschedule as many shows as possible and will announce further details very shortly,” 5SOS added. “Keep safe… Thank you so much for your patience, we’ll send another update very soon. All our love. 5SOS”
