KJ Apa & Sofia Carson's 'Songbird' To Premiere On Demand In December!
The release date for the upcoming pandemic thriller Songbird was just revealed!
KJ Apa and Sofia Carson star in the movie as a couple who find love during quarantine of a COVID-23 virus, but are unable to meet face to face because of restrictions.
It was just announced that the Michael Bay produced film will premiere as a premium video on-demand release on all transactional platforms (iTunes, Amazon, etc.) It will cost $19.99 for a 48-hour rental, before premiering on a streaming service in 2021.
“The pandemic has affected every aspect of our business, from production to release, but Songbird demonstrates that a nimble studio like STX can find effective and profitable ways to make their movies work, as we have similarly with Greenland and My Spy during these challenging times. The show must go on. Songbird is a thrilling movie that will speak to audiences in this moment as it keeps them on the edge of their seats,†Adam Fogelson, chairman, STXfilms Motion Picture Group, said in a statement.
