Taylor Swift hits the stage for her highly anticipated performance at the 2020 ACM Awards on Wednesday (September 16) at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, Tenn.
The 30-year-old singer performed her song “Betty” live on TV for the first time. This also marked her first time on the ACMs stage in seven years!
Taylor needed to change some of the explicit lyrics in the song to make it appropriate for television. In the song’s chorus, she sings, “But if I just showed up at your party / Would you have me? Would you want me? / Would you tell me to go f–k myself / Or lead me to the garden?”
Taylor changed the “would you tell me to go f— myself” to “would you tell me to go straight to hell.”
Did you know that Taylor revealed one of her celeb friends’ baby’s name in the song “Betty
You can watch the performance below!
FYI: Taylor is wearing head-to-toe Stella McCartney.
The 27-year-old country singer performed at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium during the show, which aired on Wednesday (September 16).
Kelsea performed a fun new version of her song “Hole in the Bottle” during the awards show.
If you didn’t know, Kelsea dropped her album Kelsea back in March and she deconstructed all of the songs and released the new versions in a new album titled ballerini just last week.
“So this year at the ACMs I am performing my single ‘Hole In The Bottle’ but I’m performing the ballerini version of it, which is super fun to be able to play a new version of a song that’s also still kind of new and to play at The Ryman feels really fitting cause it’s all organic and stripped and it’s a drinking song and I don’t know about you but it’s really been a thing the last five months of my life,” Kelsea told Country Now about the performance. “I just have to like pat everyone on the back because it’s been so safe and everyone’s taking every precaution to get music to people but do it the right way and I think that just represents country music so well and to be able to be a part of this community and a part of this show kind of being the first real thing that we’ve gotten to do in months and months and months, I’m just really grateful to be here.â€
Taylor will be performing her song “Betty” from the smash-hit album Folklore during tonight’s show. This will mark her first televised performance of a song from the new album. It also marks the first time she’s performing on a country music show in seven years.

The multi-talented duo were joined by young singer Tegan Marie at the annual show.
If you didn’t know, Maddie and Tae actually lost their record deal earlier in the year when Dot Records shut down, but then were picked up by UMG Nashville a month later.
During that down time, Maddie revealed that she went through a depression.
“If I’m being honest, I went through a really, pretty tough depression after the label thing happened… I kind of always was the person that had a plan, had it figured out, and I never kind of been like dropped on my ass before,” she shared in a video. “That was really hard and my self worth was tied into it, my purpose, everything.”
Now, Maddie and Tae are promising big music news soon and we can hardly wait – check out their tweets below!
