We have our first look at the upcoming The Patrick Star Show!
Nickelodeon has revealed the first teaser trailer for the new series, a spinoff from the OG SpongeBob Squarepants.
It’s official – Patrick Star is getting his own show!
Nickelodeon has just announced that The Patrick Star Show has been picked up for 13 episodes, and will premiere this summer.
The upcoming second SpongeBob Squarepants spinoff is a family sitcom starring Patrick and the rest of his family as they are constantly disrupted by Patrick’s wild whims and surreal imagination.
The original voice of Patrick, Bill Fagerbakke, will reprise his voice for young adult Patrick in the new series, with new cast members Tom Wilson as Cecil Star, Patrick’s fun-loving, happy-go-lucky dad who always puts his family first; Cree Summer as Bunny Star, Patrick’s loving, sea star mom who is a kooky oddball; Jill Talley as Squidina Star, Patrick’s eight-year-old little sister who sees herself as Patrick’s executive producer for his imaginary TV show; and Dana Snyder as GrandPat Star, Patrick’s genius grandpat, the most intelligent member of the Star family. Cree also voices Grandma Tentacles, Squidward’s grandma.
Other SpongeBob actors will reprise their roles as well – Tom Kenny (SpongeBob SquarePants), Rodger Bumpass (Squidward Tentacles), Carolyn Lawrence (Sandy Cheeks), Clancy Brown (Mr. Krabs) and Mr. Lawrence (Plankton).
“Nickelodeon is diving deeper into Bikini Bottom to give fans a look at our lovable young adult Patrick Star and his entire family with a sitcom only he could imagine up,†Ramsey Naito, President, Nickelodeon Animation, said. “This second original spinoff allows us to expand our reach, tell new stories and connect with our audience around the world who continue to love these characters.â€
The Patrick Star Show follows a younger Patrick Star living at home with his family, where he hosts his own show for the neighborhood from his television-turned-bedroom. His little sister, Squidina, works behind the scenes to make sure Patrick’s show is always running smoothly, while his parents, Bunny and Cecil and his grandpa, GrandPat, each support Patrick in their own hilariously absurd ways.
The Star family’s unpredictable adventures often inform, integrate, and sometimes even interfere with Patrick’s TV show, but one thing is for sure: his bizarre life always makes for great television!
The new series joins the original series SpongeBob Squarepants, and the new spinoff Kamp Koral: SpongeBob’s Under Years, which follows the SpongeBob characters as kids at summer camp. That series just premiered on the newly launched Paramount+!

A new SpongeBob Squarepants spinoff about Patrick is in the works, Deadline reports.
The new series reportedly already has a 13-episode order and voice recordings have started on The Patrick Star Show.
In the show, Patrick (voiced by Bill Fagerbakke) will host his own late night talk show, and revolve around him and his family. SpongeBob characters will also make appearances.
This is the second SpongeBob spinoff series. Kamp Koral: SpongeBob’s Under Years is the first, which centers on the sponge’s early years. It will air on the CBS All Access streaming service.
In case you missed it, earlier this summer, it was revealed that the new SpongeBob Squarepants movie will skip theaters and premiere on this streaming platform.
