Billie Eilish has an understanding of what led Britney Spears to her breaking point back in 2007.
The 18-year-old superstar opened up about adjusting to life in the spotlight and how that can be hard on a person’s mental health.
“As a fan growing up, I was always like, What the f**k is wrong with them? All the scandals. The Britney moment. You grow up thinking they’re pretty and they’re skinny; why would they fuck it up?” Billie told Vogue.
She continued, “But the bigger I get, the more I’m like, Oh, my God, of course they had to do that. In my dark places I’ve worried that I was going to become the stereotype that everybody thinks every young artist becomes, because how can they not? Last year, when I was at my lowest point during the tour in Europe, I was worried I was going to have a breakdown and shave my head.”
Thankfully, Billie says she’s in a much better place now.
“When people ask me what I’d say to somebody looking for advice on mental health, the only thing I can say is patience. I had patience with myself. I didn’t take that last step. I waited. Things fade,” Billie explained.

Miley Cyrus is sticking up for fellow ladies.
While performing “Party in the U.S.A.” during her 2019 Beale Street Music Festival set on Saturday afternoon (May 4) in Memphis, Tenn, the 26-year-old singer gave Britney Spears a special shout-out.

When Miley got to the “And a Britney song was on” lyrics, she also shouted “Free Britney!”
If you didn’t know, fans started a #FreeBritney Campaign on Twitter to call for an end to her lifetime conservatorship, which she’s been under since 2008.

As part of Spotify’s ‘Singles’ Program, the “Castle on the Hill” singer performed an acoustic cover of “Hit Me Baby One More Time”.
Well, this isn’t the first time Ed‘s covered Britney‘s song. He did it back in 2013, too. Still, we love it!

The “Singles” program has artists record two tracks, which will only be available on Spotify.
The first track is typically a newer song the act is trying to promote, while the second is a cover of anything the artist wants to show their love for.

The 21-year-old actress/singer opened up about her love for Brit at the 2017 Radio Disney Music Awards where she was being honored.

“I have not met her, but on my last birthday, I saw her perform with my best friend who’s with me today,” Dove told Access Hollywood. “I love her. I mean, you can’t not love Britney.”
“My favorite song of all time? Probably ‘Toxic.’ I also love like ‘Bombastic Love’ and some of her old stuff like ‘Cinderella,’” Dove said.

After picking up her first Ardy award at the 2017 Radio Disney Music Awards last night, Camila headed backstage to talk all about Britney, and gushed like we all would!
“Britney Spears is legendary,” Camila shared.
She added, “The fact that she’s done this for so many years and she still has that…you know…she’s fiesty, she’s fierce, and everybody loves Britney Spears.”
Britney received the inaugural Icon Award at the show.
