Did you know that Little Mix actually wrote the song “Pretty Girls,” which was recorded by Britney Spears and Iggy Azalea? Well, now they are explaining why they gave up the track.

“We’ve been away a while because we wrote an album, sat with the record label and we thought, ‘Nope, it’s not good enough’,” group member Jesy Nelson in an interview with The Sun. “We recorded a whole album but we’re perfectionists and knew we could do better. So we scrapped it and started again.”

“We wrote it with Maegan Cottone, who we’ve written a lot of this album with,” Jade Thirlwall added. “We loved the song but it wasn’t really for us so we put it out there and, lo and behold, Britney wanted it.”

Iggy Azalea is sexy in silver while hitting the stage for performance at the 2015 Billboard Music Awards on Sunday (May 17) in Las Vegas.

The 24-year-old rapper joined Britney Spears on stage to perform their single “Pretty Girls.” While the event happened in the MGM Grand Garden Arena, the ladies performed in Britney‘s AXIS Theater at Planet Hollywood.

This was the first time that Brit and Iggy have performed the song live together. Earlier in the night, they walked the red carpet together with their boyfriends.

Iggy Azalea walks the red carpet with her boyfriend, basketball player Nick Young, at the 2015 Billboard Music Awards held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on Sunday (May 17) in Las Vegas.

The 24-year-old rapper was also joined on the carpet by her “Pretty Girls” collaborator Britney Spears, who brought along her boyfriend Charlie Ebersol.

The ladies will be hitting the stage tonight for the first live performance of their new single.

FYI: Britney is wearing a Yousef Al-Jasmi gown, Giuseppe Zanotti shoes and clutch, and Neil Lane jewels.

Iggy Azalea holds onto a hair dryer while filming a music video on Thursday (April 9) in Studio City, Calif.

The 24-year-old entertainer was joined for the music video by Britney Spears, who took the driver’s seat of an orange Jeep.

“Girls roll, windows roll, on us, jaws on the ground,” Britney tweeted during the shoot.

Britney Spears looks smashing in a strapless black glittering dress as she arrives at the 2009 Teen Choice Awards held at the Gibson Amphitheatre on Sunday afternoon (August 9) in Universal City, Calif.

The 27-year-old pop star is nominated for several awards including Choice Music: Single, Choice Music: Female Artist and Choice Tour. At the ceremony, Britney will also be honored with the Ultimate Choice Award.

The TCAs will be hosted by the Jonas Brothers will air TOMORROW, August 10 @ 8-10PM ET/PT on FOX.
